جامعة أسيوط تنظّم ورشة عمل حول معايير مسابقة "أفضل كلية صديقة للبيئة" للعام الجامعي 2024–2025
نظّمت جامعة أسيوط، اليوم الأحد الموافق 15 يونيو، ورشة عمل بعنوان "آليات استيفاء معايير مسابقة أفضل كلية صديقة للبيئة" للعام الجامعي 2024–2025، وذلك برعاية الدكتور أحمد المنشاوي، رئيس الجامعة، في إطار جهود الجامعة لنشر ثقافة الوعي البيئي ودعم أهداف التنمية المستدامة.
وجاء تنظيم الورشة تحت إشراف الدكتور محمود عبد العليم، نائب رئيس الجامعة لشؤون خدمة المجتمع وتنمية البيئة، وبمشاركة كلٍّ من الدكتور محمد مصطفى حمد، والدكتور عمرو سعيد ضيف، منسقَي المسابقة.
وشهدت الفعالية حضورًا لافتًا من عمداء ووكلاء الكليات، وأعضاء هيئة التدريس، والهيئة المعاونة، بالإضافة إلى عدد من القيادات الإدارية والعاملين والطلاب من مختلف كليات الجامعة.
أكد الدكتور أحمد المنشاوي أن الجامعة تولي اهتمامًا كبيرًا بالقضايا البيئية وتعمل على ترسيخ ممارسات الاستدامة داخل الحرم الجامعي، مشيرًا إلى أن مسابقة "أفضل كلية صديقة للبيئة" تُعد إحدى الآليات المحفّزة نحو خلق بيئة جامعية واعية وصديقة للبيئة، وتشجيع الكليات على تبنّي سياسات مستدامة في مختلف أنشطتها. وأضاف أن الورشة تمثل خطوة مهمة لتعريف الكليات بمعايير التقييم وتبادل الخبرات بما يسهم في الارتقاء بأداء الجامعة البيئي بشكل عام.
من جانبه، أوضح الدكتور محمود عبد العليم، نائب رئيس جامعة أسيوط لشؤون خدمة المجتمع وتنمية البيئة، أن مسابقة "أفضل كلية صديقة للبيئة"، التي تم الإعلان عنها في 20 مايو الماضي، تستند إلى مجموعة من المعايير البيئية العالمية، من بينها: إدارة الموارد المائية، وبيئة العمل، والطاقة والتغير المناخي، وإدارة المخلفات، والنقل، إلى جانب مدى تأثير الكلية في مجالات التعليم والبحث العلمي، وهو ما يهدف إلى ترسيخ ثقافة الاستدامة بين الطلاب وأعضاء هيئة التدريس.
وأشار الدكتور عبد العليم إلى أن جامعة أسيوط تُعد من الجامعات المتقدمة في هذا المجال، حيث حصلت على المركز الثاني في النسخة الأولى من مسابقة "أفضل جامعة صديقة للبيئة" للعام الجامعي 2020/2021، كما نالت المركز الثالث في نسخة العام الجامعي 2022/2023، مما يعكس التزام الجامعة المتواصل بالمعايير البيئية والتنموية المستدامة.
وخلال فعاليات الورشة، قدّم الدكتور خالد صلاح، عميد كلية الهندسة، محاضرة تناولت معيار "الطاقة والتغيرات المناخية"، موضحًا أنه يشمل سبعة مؤشرات رئيسية، وهي: وجود برامج لترشيد استهلاك الطاقة، استخدام الأجهزة الموفرة للطاقة، تبنّي سياسة لاستخدام مصادر الطاقة المتجددة، نسبة المساحات الخضراء والتشجير داخل الكلية، نسبة إنتاج الطاقة المتجددة مقارنةً بإجمالي الاستهلاك، المشروعات الموجهة لمجابهة التغيرات المناخية، والأنشطة والمبادرات الهادفة إلى التكيف مع آثارها.
كما استعرض الدكتور محمود صالح إسماعيل، مدير مركز التنمية المستدامة، معيار "إدارة المياه"، والذي يتضمن عدة عناصر، منها: تطبيق آليات لترشيد الاستهلاك، وإعادة تدوير المياه لاستخدامها مجددًا، وصيانة المواسير للحد من التسريبات، إلى جانب أعمال الصيانة الدورية للصنابير وشبكات الإمداد الداخلية.
وفي السياق نفسه، تناول الدكتور محمد مصطفى حمد، الأستاذ بكلية التربية ومنسق المسابقة، عددًا من المحاور الأخرى، من بينها معيار "بيئة العمل"، الذي يشمل إجراءات التحول الرقمي وتحسين ظروف التهوية والإضاءة، ومعيار "التعليم والبحث العلمي والاستدامة"، الذي يعتمد على مدى التوعية بسياسات الاستدامة، وتضمينها في المقررات الدراسية، وتنفيذ أبحاث ومشروعات طلابية، إلى جانب تنظيم أنشطة بيئية تعزز أهداف التنمية المستدامة. كما تطرق إلى معيار "البنية التحتية وإدارة المخاطر"، والذي يشمل إجراءات الصيانة الدورية، وتطبيق إرشادات الصحة والسلامة المهنية، واعتماد مفاهيم المباني الخضراء، وتوفير وحدة متخصصة لإدارة الأزمات داخل الكلية.
واختتم الدكتور عمرو سعيد ضيف، الأستاذ بكلية العلوم ومنسق المسابقة، فعاليات الورشة بمحاضرة شاملة تناول فيها عددًا من المعايير المتقدمة، منها: "معيار النقل وأهداف التنمية المستدامة"، و"معيار إدارة المخلفات"، و"معيار الجامعة والمجتمع"، الذي يركّز على وجود سياسة وخطة واضحة للاستدامة، وإنشاء مراكز ووحدات متخصصة في البيئة والتنمية المستدامة، إلى جانب تقديم استشارات مجتمعية وبحثية تسهم في حماية البيئة وخدمة المجتمع المحلي.
Assiut University organizes a workshop on the criteria of the "best eco-friendly college" competition for the academic year 2024-2025
Assiut University organized, on Sunday, June 15, a workshop entitled" mechanisms for meeting the criteria of the best eco-friendly college competition " for the academic year 2024-2025, under the supervision of Dr. Ahmed El-Minshawy, president of the university, as part of the University's efforts to spread a culture of environmental awareness and support the Sustainable Development Goals.
The workshop was organized under the supervision of Dr. Mahmoud Abdul Alim, vice president of the University for community service and environmental development, and with the participation of Dr. Mohammed Mustafa Hamad and Dr. Amr said Deif, the coordinators of the competition.
The event witnessed a remarkable presence of deans and vice-deans of Colleges, faculty members, the auxiliary body, in addition to a number of administrative leaders, employees and students from various faculties of the University.
Dr. Ahmed El-Minshawy stressed that the university pays great attention to environmental issues and works to consolidate sustainability practices within the campus, pointing out that the "best environmentally friendly college" competition is one of the motivating mechanisms towards creating a conscious and environmentally friendly university environment, and encouraging colleges to adopt sustainable policies in their various activities. He added that the workshop represents an important step to familiarize the faculties with the evaluation criteria and exchange experiences, which contributes to improving the University's environmental performance in general.
For his part, Dr. Mahmoud Abdel Alim, vice president of Assiut University for community service and environmental development, explained that the "best eco-friendly college" competition, which was announced on May 20, is based on a set of global environmental standards, including: water resources management, work environment, energy and climate change, Waste Management, Transportation, in addition to the extent of the college's impact in the fields of education and scientific research, which aims to establish a culture of sustainability among students and faculty members.
Dr. Abdul Alim pointed out that Assiut University is one of the advanced universities in this field, as it won the second place in the first edition of the "best environmentally friendly university" competition for the academic year 2020/2021, and also won the third place in the edition of the academic year 2022/2023, reflecting the University's continuous commitment to environmental standards and sustainable development.
During the workshop, Dr. Khaled Salah, dean of the College of Engineering, presented a lecture on the "energy and climate change" criterion, explaining that it includes seven main indicators, namely: the existence of programs to rationalize energy consumption, the use of energy-saving devices, the adoption of a policy for the use of renewable energy sources, the proportion of green spaces and afforestation within the College, the proportion of renewable energy production compared to total consumption, projects aimed at countering climate change, and activities and initiatives aimed at adapting to its effects.
Dr. Mahmoud Saleh Ismail, director of the Center for Sustainable Development, also reviewed the "water management" standard, which includes several elements, including: the application of mechanisms to rationalize consumption, recycling water for reuse, maintenance of pipes to reduce leaks, as well as regular maintenance of taps and internal supply networks.
In the same context, Dr. Mohammed Mustafa Hamad, professor at the Faculty of education and coordinator of the competition, addressed a number of other topics, including the "work environment" standard, which includes digital transformation measures and improving ventilation and lighting conditions, and the "education, scientific research and sustainability" standard, which depends on the extent of awareness of sustainability policies, including them in school curricula, the implementation of research and student projects, as well as the organization of environmental activities that promote sustainable development goals. He also touched upon the "infrastructure and Risk Management" Standard, which includes periodic maintenance procedures, the application of Occupational Health and safety guidelines, the adoption of green building concepts, and the provision of a specialized crisis management unit within the college.
Dr. Amr said Deif, professor at the Faculty of Science and coordinator of the competition, concluded the workshop with a comprehensive lecture in which he addressed a number of advanced standards, including: "transport standard and sustainable development goals","Waste Management Standard", and"university and community standard", which focuses on the existence of a clear sustainability policy and plan, the establishment of centers and units specialized in environment and sustainable development, in addition to providing community consultations and research that contribute to environmental protection and community service.
