Mining, Petroleum and Metallurgical Engineering (MPM10) conference is the 10^th in a series of conferences held consecutively every two years between Assiut, Cairo and Suez Canal Universities.  It was organized at the first time by Mining and Metallurgical Engineering Department Assiut University at 1977.

The conference has the objectives of presenting the academic and industrial activities in mining, petroleum and metallurgy.  It offers the opportunity to experts in these fields to present original researches and case studies.

The conference program includes three parallel groups of sessions (mining, petroleum, metallurgy).  In addition to general lectures closely related to mining, petroleum and metallurgical professions are included.

Post-conference field trips and visits to some Egyptian touristic sites will be organized.

Industrial and scientific authorities are offered opportunities to exhibit their products.
