Laboratory design:

Any lab for plant tissue cultures should consist of at least 3 rooms regardless of its size. These three areas are:

      1.     Area for preparing media (like a kitchen)

2.     Culture and subculture room

3.     Culture growing room

Requirements and equipments for each room in the laboratory:

 1. Media preparation room:

-         Refrigerator

-          pH meter

-         Hot plates with stirrers, stirrer

-         Water distilling unit

-         Oven

-         Autoclave

-         Freezer

-         Balances (Analytical one with 5 digits, and other to weight from few grams to hundreds of grams)

-         Glass ware (flasks, beakers, pipettes, stirring bars)

-          Culture vessels- baby food jars with lids, petri dishes, test tubes-)
