Within the framework of the presidential initiative "Bidaya":

The Faculty of Education in Assiut organizes seminars and educational activities in cooperation with the Egyptian General Authority for Tourism Promotion in Assiut and the Fund for Combating and Treating Addiction and Drug Abuse at the Cabinet

Under the auspices of Dr. Ahmed El-Menshawy, President of Assiut University, the Faculty of Education organized educational activities today, Wednesday, December 4, as part of the activities of the President's initiative for human development "Bidaya", under the supervision of Dr. Ahmed Abdel-Mawla, Vice President of the University for Education and Student Affairs, and Dr. Hassan Howail, Dean of the Faculty.

The activities were held in cooperation with the Egyptian General Authority for Tourism Promotion in Assiut, the Fund for Combating and Treating Addiction and Drug Abuse at the Cabinet, and organized by the General Administration of Student Care, and the General Administration of Public Relations and Media at the University, under the supervision of Dr. Amr Othman, First Assistant to the Minister of Social Solidarity, and Director General of the Fund for Combating and Treating Addiction and Drug Abuse, and Dr. Madiha Darwish, General Supervisor of Student Activities at the University, and in the presence of Dr. Mohamed Gaber, Vice Dean of the Faculty for Education and Student Affairs, and a number of department heads, faculty members and students.

Dr. Ahmed El-Menshawy stressed the university's keenness to continue participating in the presidential initiative "A New Beginning for Human Building", in coordination with state institutions; and to contribute to spreading community awareness, enhancing heritage culture, and national identity among youth, and reviving national heritage in a way that contributes to the development of society in general, by enhancing activities that highlight tourist attractions and their role in supporting heritage and culture.

For his part, Dr. Ahmed Abdel-Mawla praised the excellence of the college's students in various student activities at the university, calling on them to participate in the various awareness and training programs provided by the university in cooperation with various ministries and agencies; in order to build their personality and develop their intellectual, physical, and psychological abilities.

Dr. Hassan Howail welcomed the college's guests, praising the university administration's efforts in developing all colleges and sectors, and its keenness to participate effectively in the presidential initiatives; which aim to educate students about caring for health and practicing sports in light of the new republic, which places the Egyptian person at the forefront of its priorities.

The symposium "A New Beginning to Build a Human Being", during which Dr. Samir Abdel Tawab, Director of the Egyptian General Authority for Tourism Promotion in Assiut, lectured; Assiut's ancient history, tourist and archaeological landmarks in Assiut Governorate, in addition to interest in Egyptian women, and the rights of prisoners in wars.

The symposium "Combating the Spread of Narcotic Substances among Students", during which Dr. Nady Sayed Ali, Advisor to the Fund for Combating and Treating Addiction and Abuse at the Cabinet, lectured, explaining the different types of drugs, and the serious effects of each on human physical, psychological, and mental health, and the harms of misuse of medications without medical supervision, in addition to presenting the services provided by the Fund within the governorate, as well as the role of the state in supporting addiction treatment centers, and providing capabilities, and psychological and social support for recovering addicts.

It is worth noting that Dr. Haitham Ibrahim, Director General of the General Administration for Student Care, Mr. Gharib Khairy Zaki, Director General of the Public Relations and Media Department, and Ms. Umaima Ibrahim, Director of the Social Activity and Trips Department at the General Administration for Student Care participated in supervising the events.
