Undergraduates

  • In order to obtain a Bachelor degree in electronics engineering, this requires a solid core of foundation courses in physics, mathematics, computer science, and general engineering, which is also essential for life-long learning.

This department accepts

  • High school students with science/mathematics background and Admission to the program is supervised by the department and depends on availability of places and student’s performance record.
  • After finishing the 5 years, The student will be able to do the following  “Link to the outcomes”
  • Assiut University awards a bachelor degree in Electrical Engineering after 10 semesters of study (5 years).

After the students complete their 5 years, they will have the ability to:

  • Apply knowledge of the physical sciences, mathematics, and engineering fundamentals to the solution of electrical engineering problems.
  • Design and conduct experiments in electrical engineering, and to analyze and interpret the data generated by those experiments.
  • Design components, devices, and systems to meet specific needs in electrical engineering.
  • Function effectively on multi-disciplinary teams involving people from diverse backgrounds.
  • Identify and define problems in electrical and computer engineering, and to generate and evaluate solutions to those problems.
  • Understand the professional and ethical responsibilities incumbent upon the practicing electrical engineer.
  • Communicate effectively, both orally and in writing, in the field of electrical engineering.
  • Understand the role and impact of electrical engineering in a broader societal and global context.
  • Recognize and respond to the need for life-long learning for a successful career in electrical engineering.
  • Develop an understanding of contemporary technical and professional issues in the practice of electrical engineering.
  • Use the techniques, skills, and tools of modern engineering, including the use of modern computer-based technologies such as the writing of programs, the use of professional software, and the use of modern electronic media, effectively in the practice of electrical engineering.
