

“The mission of the faculty of Agriculture, as one of the earliest faculties established at Assiut University a half century ago is to supply scientific and technical knowledge of the most recent information in the area of agricultural sciences, to assist in improving the type of living in rural and urban areas, and to provide a high quality type of agricultural education to meet the needs and solve the problems of agricultural, food, and environmental sectors”

The
faculty council adopts the strategy of periodical revision and improvement as
conditions change in the society and region. All scientific departments
composed their own mission, vision and objectives. Missions of the college and
departments are posted in areas where students, employees and staff members
can view it easily. The faculty bounds to the introduction and implementation
of modern educational and training programs to students to enhance their
capabilities and assist in improving the society in order to improve the
cooperation between the society and the college. The graduates of the college
are meant to be specialists in the different fields of agricultural
production. The college also offers postgraduate programs in the form of
Diplomas, Master, and Ph.D. degrees in all of the agricultural related
aspects. In addition the college is acting as a center of research and
development to serve the agricultural sector of the community and assist in
solving its problems with particular emphasis on Upper Egypt area.

1- Preparation of qualified individuals in the different disciplines of agricultural activities to meet the needs of the society and the job market needs.
2- Provide high quality education to produce scientists who can assist in the advancement of the society
3-Continuous development of the undergraduate and graduate programs to meet scientific advancement
4- Conduct research and applied studies that contribute to the solving Upper Egypt developmental problems.
5- Enhance the cultural and scientific relations between the faculty and other similar Arab and international faculties through joint mission activities, conferences, joint projects, and exchange of expertise
