The Library

The library of Faculty of Arts was established in 1996/1997 . It’s found inside the faculty in the ground floor, so as to save  a good  silent atmosphere for students to study & research & also for teaching staff . Its area is four hundred forty eight- m sq. It consists of one big class, divided from inside into two smaller classes. The first one is specialized for the Arabic books & the other is for the Foreign books. All the ten departments of the faculty use these books.

There are 18 computers, a scanner and a Laser Printer. The courses which are provided in this Lab are:

   Dos

   Windows

   Typing

   Word

    Excel

These courses are to be given for three times a year. The lab provides services to both staff members and employees of the Faculty of Arts.

      Goals and Achievements:

·     Teaching Phonetics for the students of the English Dept. in both Faculty of Arts & faculty of Education.

·     Teaching listening skills for the students of the English Dept. in both Faculty of Arts & faculty of Education.

      Teaching English Language for the 1st and 2nd year students of the Faculty of Medicine.

·     Showing plays for the students of the English Dept. in both Faculty of Arts and Faculty of Education.

      Teaching Students from Daghestan for the 3rd year.

      The English Language Lab. is open from 8:00 am to 8:00 p.m. all week

   Affluent to the Psychology Dept. It is equipped with many sets that help the students in performing psychological tests.

    ·       Performing the Intelligence Quality (IQ) tests.

* Psychology Dept. is going to establish a Psychology clinic to treat psychological problems that may encounter university students, and out-side patients

Main Responsibilities:

1. It provides services to staff members, students, and society  members in general.

2. It shoulders the responsibility of Translating works mainly:

    Official documents cultural, literary and scientific works.

3. The linguistic review of researches submitted by staff members
