INSTRUCTIONS TO AUTHORS

The Journal Board welcomes publishing scientific papers in all fields of Engineering and related subjects either in English or in Arabic Languages. Papers accepted by the referees will be published in one of the four parts published annually. Detailed instructions for authors, that should be fully adhered to at time of publication, are available upon request from the Editor office. However submitted papers shall not be sent to referees before full adherence to the following requirements:

1.  Articles submitted for publication should be submitted to a member of the Editorial Board or directly to the Editor-in-chief. The original should be submitted, together with two copies to facilitate refereeing. Authors should submit 3.5^"  floppy disk or CD with current updates along with the final manuscript. Microsoft word 2000 text files are preferred. Arabic summary should be provided at the end of the paper preceded by an Arabic translation of the paper title. The submitted paper should not have been submitted earlier or at the same time to any other journal in Egypt or aboard.

2.  Type the paper title (totally in capital letters) in Arial font, size 12 Bold. Authors' names and affiliations (organization, department city and country) are written under the paper title (leaving two line-spaces) in Times New Roman font, size 11, as heading flush left.

3. Papers are organized in the following order: Abstract, Keywords, Nomenclature, Main body, Acknowledgements, References, Appendices and Arabic summary.

4. Keywords are 6 words maximum which, between them, should indicate the subject matter of the paper. This will be used for indexing and data retrieval purposes. Keywords are written in Times New Roman font, size 11 Italic. 

5.  Manuscripts must be typed in single-spacing on consecutively numbered pages of size 17.6 cm wide and 25 cm long (Envelope B5). They must be in one column with a margin of 35 mm at the top side (20 mm as margin and 15 mm for header and page number) and 20 mm at the other three sides of each page. The column must be justified in the sheet.

6.  All illustrations whether diagrams or photographs should be high quality. Figures are numbered consecutively as they appear in the text. They must be reduced in size to fit a maximum width of 13 cm and maximum height of 19 cm.

7.  Tables are numbered consecutively as they appear in the text and must have captions.

8.  References are indicated in the text by numbers in square brackets [   ]. The full references being given in the list at the end of the paper. The references are listed in the order in which they appear in the paper. The list should contain only the references which are mentioned in the text

9.  For Assiut University staff members, a nonrefundable down payment of LE 80 is to be paid upon submission of the paper. In case of acceptance, the fess will be LE 10 per each page. For other prospective authors residing in Egypt, a nonrefundable down payment of LE 160 is to be paid upon submission of the paper. In case of acceptance, the fees will be LE 15 per each page.  For non-resident of Egypt a nonrefundable down payment of be LE 300 is to be paid upon submission of the paper. In case of acceptance, the fess will be LE 30 per each page. A total of 15 free reprints will be supplied to the authors of each paper.    

10. The Journal can be exchanged with similar scientific publication.

·  The annual subscription rate for Scientific and Industrial Corporations in ARE is LE 300 for all issues within the year.

·  For individual subscription, the rate is LE 30 per issue.

·  For subscriptions abroad the rate is US$ 100 for all issues within the year.
