Quiet Study Area

Students require a very quite setting to do individual study. The University has designated three large halls in the ground floor of the administration building as absolute quiet areas so that individuals can concentrate and study alone. The whole capacity of these areas is 1500 individual desk. The use of quiet study areas is conditional upon the rules being obeyed.

When you need a quiet space to concentrate in the University Library, head for the southern section of the Library which is reserved for quiet study. You will find a peaceful oasis with private study carrels with electrical outlets. These carrels are available for faculty staff members and graduate students to use during normal library hours.

  Group Study Rooms

Because students often must confer with each other in collaborative learning situations, the Library has designated 3 group study rooms as consultation areas where students may discuss academic projects and study together in groups. The University replaced the study carrels on these rooms with reading tables in order to provide students with group study space.

Rooms are available on a first come. Requests for the use of the group study room may be made in writing at the assistance-desk. Studies will be assigned for a specific period of time not to exceed three hours in the working day.

From time to time, senior professors and lecturers in different fields of study come to the group study come to the group study rooms according to students enquiry and especially at the exam time when people are trying extra hard to concentrate. They voluntarily answer the questions their students may ask and comment on students remarks concerning the lecture courses.
