Vision

Leadership in the establishment of a society of knowledge.

Mission Assiut University is a governmental university which mobilizes and directs its potentialities for the realization of its vision by providing the education required for the present and the future, production of generations that can compete in labor market at both the local and international levels, and qualified for excellence in the development and excusion of scientific research and technology, and research programs which contribute to the society development within university ethics.

Goals

Strategic Objectives of Goals

First Goal:

Distinguished graduates capable of innovation and competition in the labor market.

1 - Continuous improvement of the educational capability of the university.

2 - Development of students' activities, health and social care.

3 – Encouragement of students' innovation.

Second Goal:

Development of graduate studies and research capacity of the University.

Strategic objectives:

1 – Developing  the educational process of graduate studies.

2 – Relating scientific Research with communal demands.

3 – Involvement  with the international scientific community.

4 – Encouraging scientific innovation.

5 – Providing financial facilities and resources. 

6 – Developing administrative systems for graduate studies and scientific

research.

7 – Developing research plans for the university and faculties.

Third Goal:

Empowerment of interrelation between the university and the community.

Strategic objectives:

1 – Developing information system for the sector of community service sector

and environment enhancement.

2 – Activating the role of private centers and units.

3 – Spreading awareness of environmental and social issues.

4 – International cooperation to solve environmental problems.

5 – Implementing scientific research to solve environmental problems.

6 – Adding a specified administration to the organizational structure of the

University to take responsibility of managing crises, emergencies and civil

protection with a fully defined task and function.

7 – Follow up and providing support for graduates.

8 – Developing financial resources for the sector of community service and

environment enhancement.

Sixth Goal: Support  and encouragement for university colleges and institutes to

apply accreditation.

1 – Spreading an awareness of the necessity to get academic accreditation.
2 – Providing financial support for the requirements of accreditation.
3 – Developing the university's Centre for Quality Assurance and Accreditation.
4 – Developing Quality Assurance Units at faculties and institutes.
