Assiut University announces renewal of the accreditation of the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine

The head of the Assiut University, Dr. Ahmed Abdou Jaais, announced the success of the veterinary college in obtaining a certificate of renewal issued by the National Authority for Quality assurance of education and accreditation; The first veterinary college to be approved in 2011, as well as success in obtaining a certificate of renewal of accreditation In 2018 at the level of the Republic's universities.
Dr. Hassan Abbas, dean of the Veterinary College of Assiut, said the decision of the authority was a reflection of the steps and procedures within the college to maintain the quality educational and research service within the college, which is based on the achievement of three objectives including the continuous development of the educational environment system for the graduation of a physician A vet is scientifically and clinically qualified and competitive, in addition to upgrading scientific and applied studies in veterinary sciences and increasing the faculty's ability to contribute to community service and environmental development.The dean of the college revealed that the past period has been the development of several research and teaching laboratories and a number of college units and facilities, as the new Veterinary Education Hospital was opened and operated on 8 acres and at a total cost of more than 100 million pounds, which has six sophisticated runways and a building and a building for the breeding of birds and small animals and a building for the comfort and seizure of animals in addition to a warehouse and fodder building in addition to 2 fish breeding basin, a fish feed plant and another for the packing and packaging of meat products are being set up and outpatient clinics have been operated to serve citizens from Community members and postgraduate students.Dr. Hassan Abbas explained that the efforts of the college administration to develop the college's education and community service in the past years included the development of courses for undergraduate and postgraduate students and the list of approved hours for students was amended.
A number of scientific conferences, seminars and training courses have been conducted to improve the performance of members, especially workers ' affairs, students ' Affairs and the Community service and environmental development sector has also been developed in terms of attention to veterinary treatment and diagnostic convoys conducted by the college and serving the surrounding community In particular, deprived areas and villages that have reached 17 veterinary medical convoys in the past five years, with a total number of 147 villages and the participation of 1520 Final division students in the college
