Wednesday, due to bad weather conditions.
Dr. Ahmed El-Minshawy, President of Assiut University, issued a decision to suspend classes tomorrow, Wednesday, at all faculties, institutes, and centers of the university. This decision comes in light of the Meteorological Authority's announcement regarding the country being exposed to a wave of bad weather.
Dr. El-Minshawy explained that the decision comes out of concern for the safety of students and to avoid any potential risks that may arise from unstable weather conditions. He noted that the university includes a large number of students from outside Assiut Governorate, which necessitates taking all necessary precautionary measures.
The university president affirmed the university administration's commitment to providing a safe educational environment that prioritizes the safety of its students, while continuing to monitor weather developments and coordinate with the relevant authorities.
In the same context, the Meteorological Authority renewed its warnings of active winds that raise sand and dust, and urged citizens to exercise caution while driving, avoid being near lampposts, signs, and trees, wear masks when going out, and follow the Authority's updates regarding the weather.
