Project to establish a center for bioavailability and bioequivalence

Project Description:
The Center for Bioavailability and Bioequivalence of the Faculty of Pharmacy - Assiut University is the first of its kind in a geographical area in the middle of Upper Egypt, which includes more than twelve million people.
The center specializes in conducting the necessary biological studies to obtain complete information about the physical, chemical and biological properties of the pharmaceutical and compare it with similar known preparations to determine the extent of their properties and their therapeutic effect and based on the positive results, the pharmaceutical product is licensed.
The Center relieves the burdens on similar government centers in the capital, as their number is limited.

expected outcomes:
1- Assiut University will become the first university in the Upper Egypt region to own this type of center. The center can also attract contracts with companies, pharmaceutical factories, and research centers, which represents a self-income for the center that enables continuous development.

2- Enhancing the role of the faculty of Pharmacy in providing a distinguished scientific and societal service that contributes to improving the health of citizens directly by providing low-cost, locally-made and effective pharmaceutical products that have the ability to be in global markets.

3- This center is expected to contribute to raising the efficiency of the faculty's staff by conducting all analyzes and measurements.

4- The center will help to activate pharmaceutical research in Egypt in general and in the Upper Egypt region in particular, which leads to a direct increase in the research of faculty members published in international journals and to benefit from this research in practice in the production of effective medicines, which helps put Egypt on the map of making medicine.

5- A direct increase in the number of international students at the Faculty of Pharmacy, Assiut University, as the center will have a significant impact on the development of the educational and research process in the faculty.

6- The use of developed and innovative methods of teaching and learning through field visits and practical lectures for the students of the faculty of Pharmacy at the center, as the subject of drug kinetics and bioavailability is taught to students of the faculty of Pharmacy.
