The institute occupies a considerable area from the Old Campus of Assiut University which is few meters far from the River Nile and Assiut Barrages. The building of the institute comprises of the administration offices, lecture halls, laboratories and the library. However, housing for students is in Assiut City around the campus (please see the map that showing the location of STRI in Assiut city).
