الدكتور المنشاوي يشيد بمبادرة زراعة الأسطح بجامعة أسيوط كنموذج للاستدامة وتحقيق الأمن الغذائي
- زراعة الأسطح تمثل خطوة نحو مستقبل أخضر ومستدام
أكد الدكتور المنشاوي رئيس جامعة أسيوط أن مبادرة كلية الزراعة لاستغلال أسطح المباني في زراعة الخضروات والنباتات الطبية والعطرية تأتي في إطار استراتيجية وزارة التعليم العالي والبحث العلمي، برعاية الدكتور محمد أيمن عاشور، لدعم الاقتصاد ونشر الوعي البيئي، مشيرًا إلى أن زراعة الأسطح تسهم في توفير الغذاء، كما تساعد على تحسين جودة الهواء وتقليل آثار التغير المناخي.
وأشاد الدكتور أحمد المنشاوي، رئيس جامعة أسيوط، بالمبادرة الرائدة التي أطلقتها كلية الزراعة، تحت إشراف الدكتور عادل محمد محمود عميد كلية الزراعة، مؤكداً أنها تجربة نموذجية تعكس رؤية الجامعة في تحقيق التنمية المستدامة وتعزيز الأمن الغذائي.
وأضاف أن هذه التجربة توفر فرصة للشباب لبدء مشروعات صغيرة، كما تمنح المرأة وسيلة فعالة لتلبية احتياجات أسرتها الغذائية، فضلاً عن دورها في تنمية وعي الأطفال بأهمية الزراعة، مما يسهم في بناء جيل أكثر وعيًا بالبيئة والاستدامة.
وأشار رئيس الجامعة إلى حرص جامعة أسيوط في دعم مثل هذه المبادرات، التي تحقق فوائد اقتصادية وصحية وبيئية، وتعزز من جهود الدولة في تحقيق الأمن الغذائي وتقليل آثار الاحتباس الحراري، مؤكدًا أن زراعة الأسطح تمثل خطوة نحو مستقبل أخضر ومستدام.
ويشرف على نموذج زراعة الأسطح بكلية الزراعة؛ الدكتور عادل محمود عميد الكلية، والدكتور جلال عبدالفتاح الصغير وكيل الكلية لشئون خدمة المجتمع وتنمية البيئة، والدكتور محمد إسلام عبدالناصر بقسم الخضر المشرف العلمي على زراعة الأسطح، والمهندس الزراعي عابد مصطفى عابد.

Dr. El-Minshawy, president of Assiut University, confirmed that the initiative of the Faculty of Agriculture to exploit the roofs of buildings in the cultivation of vegetables and medicinal and aromatic plants comes within the framework of the strategy of the Ministry of higher education and scientific research, under the supervision of Dr. Mohammed Ayman Ashour, to support the economy and spread environmental awareness, pointing out that the cultivation of roofs contributes to saving food, and also helps to improve air quality and reduce the effects of climate change.
Dr. Ahmed El-Minshawy, president of Assiut University, praised the pioneering initiative launched by the Faculty of Agriculture, under the supervision of Dr. Adel Mohammed Mahmoud, dean of the Faculty of agriculture, stressing that it is a typical experience that reflects the University's vision to achieve sustainable development and enhance food security.
He added that this experience provides an opportunity for young people to start small businesses, and also gives women an effective way to meet their family's food needs, as well as their role in developing children's awareness of the importance of Agriculture, which contributes to building a generation more aware of the environment and sustainability.
The president of the University pointed out the keenness of Assiut University in supporting such initiatives, which achieve economic, health and environmental benefits, and enhance the efforts of the state in achieving food security and reducing the effects of global warming, stressing that the cultivation of roofs represents a step towards a green and sustainable future.
The model of roof cultivation at the College of Agriculture is supervised by Dr. Adel Mahmoud, dean of the College, Dr. Jalal Abdul Fattah al-Saghir, vice dean of the college for community service and Environmental Development, Dr. Mohammed Islam Abdul Nasser, scientific supervisor of roof cultivation at the Greens Department, and agricultural engineer Abed Mustafa Abed.
