Eng. Ibrahim Samak

Eng. Ibrahim Samak had received his B. Sc, qualified engineer, from Faculty of Engineering, Assiut University, Egypt, 1963. Eng. Samak has been filed various technical patents, including the revolutionary and standard setting “Intelligent Management System (IMS)” electronic monitoring component for solar street lamps ... Eng. Samak is member of the Board of Directors of EPIA, European Photovoltaic Industry Association Professional Affiliations since 1994, Vice President and President of EPIA during the period 2002 – 2003, Member of Board of Directors of the European Renewable Energy Council (EREC), Member of the Executive Board of PV GAP (Global Approval Program for Photovoltaics), German Society for Solar Energy (DGS), Germany, Federal Association for Solar Energy (BSE), Germany and ECA-Vice President Arabic Countries & Africa, Intercultural Coach. Currently, Eng. Samak is the owner and Managing Director of Engcotec, Engco Advanced Technology GmbH company. Eng. Samak, awarded the Gold Medal for Outstanding Awarded Engineering Achievements in his field by the Egyptian Engineering Syndicate (Egyptian Government) in 1986, and awarded the Federal Cross of Merit of the Federal Republic of Germany by the German President, Mr. Horst Koehler, for his activities in research as well as his business enterprise and humanitarian work. He was chosen to receive a prize in African Heritage Man of the Year 2007. Also, Eng. Samak awarded the Kultural Ambassador Media Award (KAMA) from Afro-European media Group in September 2008.
