Assiut University Organizes Orientation Day for “Rally Assiut University” 2025/2026 Season with Participation of Egyptian University Students and Graduates

The Entrepreneurship Club at Assiut University, in collaboration with RALLY SOCIETY ASSIUT UNIVERSITY and the Arab Academy for Science, Technology, and Maritime Transport, and in partnership with the National Bank of Egypt, organized an orientation day for the 2025/2026 season of the “Rally Assiut University” event, with participation from students and graduates from various universities. The event was held under the patronage of Professor Ahmed El-Minshawy, President of Assiut University, and supervised by Professor Ahmed Abdel-Mawla, Vice President of the University for Education and Student Affairs, and Dr. Mohamed Abbas, General Supervisor of the Technology Transfer Unit and the University’s Entrepreneurship Club.

The orientation day was attended by Professor Mahmoud Abdel-Aleem, Vice President for Community Service and Environmental Development; Dr. Khaled Amin, Director of the Rally Egypt Programs at the Entrepreneurship Center of the Arab Academy for Science, Technology, and Maritime Transport; Engineer Khaled Yasser, Entrepreneurship and Innovation Trainer at the same center; Ms. Miral Emil, Business Development Consultant at the National Bank of Egypt; along with Mohamed Zahran (4th year, Faculty of Commerce, Business Administration), Head of the University Rally Team, and Reham Mohamed Abdo (4th year, Agricultural Guidance Institute, Economics Department), as well as a distinguished group of students from public, private, and technological universities, and startup founders.

Professor El-Minshawy emphasized the University’s commitment to fostering entrepreneurship and innovation among its students, highlighting its leading role in preparing qualified graduates equipped with entrepreneurial thinking skills and capable of creating new job opportunities for themselves and others, in alignment with the goals of Egypt Vision 2030. He added that through its innovation and entrepreneurship units, the University seeks to establish a comprehensive ecosystem that supports creative ideas and transforms them into real projects that benefit local and regional communities.

Professor Abdel-Mawla noted that the University is committed to promoting education rooted in creativity, knowledge, and entrepreneurship, stressing that youth are the cornerstone for building a developed society that contributes to sustainable development. Assiut University takes on the responsibility of preparing students for a changing labor market through training programs and innovative initiatives.

Professor Abdel-Aleem affirmed the University’s dedication to supporting students’ participation in local and international competitions that nurture a spirit of challenge and competition, while sharpening their entrepreneurial and technological skills. He emphasized that these activities provide an important platform for identifying talented and creative individuals across various disciplines.

Dr. Mohamed Abbas explained that RALLY SOCIETY ASSIUT UNIVERSITY is a voluntary student team that seeks to spread the culture of entrepreneurship and promote creative thinking among students, by organizing educational and training events designed to prepare youth capable of establishing successful startups that contribute to economic and social development.

In his remarks, Dr. Khaled Amin expressed his pleasure in participating in the orientation day at Assiut University, praising the University’s distinguished efforts in supporting entrepreneurship and celebrating the remarkable achievements of its students in Rally Egypt 2024, one of the largest competitions in entrepreneurship and innovation in Egypt and the Arab world, with participation from over 35 Egyptian universities.
