Professor El-Menshawy, President of Assiut University, participated today, Sunday, July 26, in the meeting of the Board of Trustees of Assiut National University, which was held at the university's headquarters in New Assiut City, under the chairmanship of Prof. Dr. Wael El-Dajwi, former
Minister of Higher Education and Acting Chairman of the Board of Trustees, and in the presence of Major General Mohamed Alwan, Governor of Assiut, Prof. Mohamed Sayed, President of Assiut National University, and Prof. Mohamed Abdel Samie, former President of Assiut University and Secretary of the Board of Trustees.
The Board of Trustees was received by Prof. Dr. Nobi Mohamed Hassan, Vice President of Assiut National University for Academic Affairs.
The Board of Trustees includes a group of academic leaders and public figures, including Prof. Dr. Ezzat Abdullah, former President of Assiut University, Prof. Dr. Ahmed Abdo Geiss, former President of Assiut University, Prof. Dr. Mohamed Shalaby, former Vice President of Assiut University, Prof. Dr. Mohamed Salah El-Din, former Vice President of Assiut University, Prof. Dr. Mohamed Mohamed Abdel Latif, former Vice President of Assiut University, Prof. Dr. Mohamed Abdel Moneim Bakr, former Dean of the Faculty of Medicine, and Prof. Dr. Mariam Qams, Lecturer at the Faculty of Medicine. Prof. Dr. Mahmoud Saqr, former President of the Academy of Scientific Research and Technology, Prof. Dr. Ismail Moukalled, former Dean of the Faculty of Commerce, and Prof. Dr. Ibrahim Rizk, Member of the Advisory Council of Egyptian Scientists and Experts and former President of the European Council for Renewable Energy.
The Board of Trustees began its meeting by congratulating President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi, the political leadership, and the Egyptian people on the occasion of the 73rd anniversary of the July 23 Revolution, wishing Egypt continued progress and prosperity under its wise leadership.
Dr. Wael Al-Dajwi also expressed his sincere thanks and appreciation to Prof. Dr. Ahmed Al-Menshawy, in appreciation of his sincere efforts during his tenure in managing the business of Assiut National University in its establishment stage, and the outstanding contributions he made that contributed to laying the foundations of the university and putting it on the path of excellence, which strengthened its launch and consolidated its position as a promising academic edifice.
Professor El-Menshawy affirmed his pride in participating in the meeting of the Board of Trustees of Assiut National University, expressing his sincere thanks and appreciation to Dr. Wael Al-Dajwi and the members of the Board of Trustees, led by Major General Mohamed Alwan, Governor of Assiut, appreciating the support and strategic vision provided by the Council, which had a great impact on enhancing the university's march and consolidating its position among private universities.
Professor El-Menshawy also expressed his pride in participating in the establishment phase of the university, stressing that it has become a leading model for modern university education with its advanced academic programs that keep pace with the country's directions and meet the needs of the labor market, expressing his confidence that the university will continue the march of success and development under the leadership of Dr. Mohamed Sayed, President of the University, and the efforts of all its affiliates.
For his part, Major General Mohamed Alwan, Governor of Assiut, expressed his happiness to participate in the meeting of the Board of Trustees of Assiut National University, praising the remarkable development achieved by the university since its inception, and the promising academic edifice it represents that embodies the state's orientation towards expanding the establishment of private universities and providing modern university education that keeps pace with the requirements of the future.
The Governor of Assiut stressed the keenness of the governorate to continue providing various aspects of support to the university, to enhance its development and academic process, pointing out that the successes achieved by the university during a short period reflect the integration of the efforts of the Board of Trustees and the university administration, and contribute to the preparation of qualified cadres capable of competing in the labor market, and supporting development plans in Assiut Governorate and Upper Egypt.
The meeting witnessed the signing of two protocols to renew cooperation between Assiut University and Assiut National University, the first to renew cooperation between the university hospitals at Assiut University and Assiut National University, in order to ensure the continuation of the provision of medical insurance and integrated health care services to the students of Al-Ahliyya University, while expanding the fields of medical cooperation according to current and future needs, and the second to renew cooperation in the academic and research fields, by supporting practical training for students, exchanging scientific and research experiences and capabilities, and benefiting from laboratories and centers research institutes and university hospitals, the implementation of research and joint projects, and the organization of scientific conferences and symposiums, in a way that contributes to improving the quality of the educational process and achieving the goals of sustainable development.
The meeting also witnessed the signing of three new cooperation protocols, which included the provision of design and advertising printing services for the benefit of Assiut National University,
including the design and printing of certificates, shields, banners, banners, publications, and advertising materials, in addition to providing printing services through the Assiut University Press to support the educational and administrative process, including the printing of exam papers, records, notebooks, forms, and various publications according to the highest standards of quality and efficiency, as well as organizing the benefit of faculty members, workers, and students at Al-Ahliyya University. Residential services of Assiut University in Cairo, in order to support the implementation of scientific, training and administrative tasks and enhance institutional integration between the two universities.
The meeting concluded by discussing a number of topics related to the progress of the academic and administrative process at the university, and reviewing mechanisms to support its future plans in order to enhance the quality of performance and keep pace with the country's strategy in developing the university education system.
