Research Abstract

Background: Cardiac catheterization is an invasive procedure indicated in a wide variety of circumstances. It is used for diagnostic evaluation and therapeutic intervention in the management of patients with cardiac diseases.

Aims of the study: this study aimed to, assess and develop nursing care standards for cardiac patients. And evaluate the effect of implementing nursing care standards on nurse's knowledge, practice and patient out come. Research design: Quasi-experimental research design was utilized. Setting: cardiac catheterization unit, Assiut University Hospital
