Dr. El-Minshawy participates virtually in signing an agreement to grant a master's degree in engineering specialties between the American University of Louisville and 12 Egyptian universities, including Assiut state and private universities

  Dr. Ahmed El-Minshawy, president of Assiut University, participated in the virtual signing ceremony of the master's degree program agreement between the University of Louisville, Kentucky, USA, and 12 Egyptian universities, including Assiut State University and Assiut Al-Ahlia University, at exactly ten in the morning, East Coast time of the United States (five in the evening, Cairo time).

The ceremony was held in the presence of Dr. Mohamed Ayman Ashour, Minister of higher education and scientific research of the Arab Republic of Egypt, who participated virtually, along with Dr. Catherine Cardarelli, representative of the University of Louisville, and the heads of Egyptian universities participating in the agreement.

This agreement comes as part of efforts to enhance the opportunities of Egyptian students to obtain distinguished higher education at the international level, as the program stipulates that the Egyptian student must complete 6 credit hours at his university inside Egypt, and then transfer to the University of Louisville to complete an additional 24 credit hours, to obtain a master's degree in a number of vital engineering disciplines.

 Dr. Ahmed El-Minshawy expressed his pride in participating in this distinguished international academic cooperation, stressing that the agreement embodies the orientation of the Egyptian state and the Ministry of higher education towards opening up to international partnerships and providing innovative educational programs that keep pace with the developments of the Times and the global labor market.

The president of Assiut University also pointed out that this agreement is a milestone in the process of academic cooperation between Egyptian universities and their international counterparts, and contributes to building bridges of knowledge and innovation, in a way that enhances the competitiveness of Egyptian graduates regionally and internationally, and supports the role of universities in achieving the Sustainable Development Goals.

The agreement was officially signed during the event, amid an atmosphere of appreciation and optimism for this fruitful cooperation, which represents a strategic step in the development of the higher education system in Egypt, and provides Egyptian students with real opportunities to complete their higher studies at one of the leading universities in the United States of America.
