Prof.El-Minshawy affirms his pride in the strong ties and feelings of intimacy and brotherhood among the members of the Egyptian society
Prof. Ahmed El-Minshawy, president of Assiut University, praised the wise leadership of His Excellency President Abdel Fattah al-Sisi in preserving Egypt in light of regional challenges and an international environment inflamed by events and wars, during his visit to churches, to congratulate the Coptic brothers on the occasion of Christmas, saying: "the wise leadership of President Abdel Fattah al-Sisi makes us feel safe and secure despite the dangers surrounding the region, which is the basis for achieving our ambitions and building the New Republic on strong foundations.
On Tuesday, January 7, Prof. El-Minshawy went to his Coptic Orthodox archbishopric in abnoub to congratulate His Holiness Bishop besanti, Bishop of abnoub, AlFatah, New Assiut, and the abbot of the monastery of Marmina on Mount abnoub, amid an atmosphere of welcome and affection, calling on God Almighty to preserve Egypt and to perpetuate on our dear homeland its unity, security, and stability.
During his visit, Prof. El-Minshawy stressed his pride in the strong ties, the feelings of the brothers, and the tolerance of the Egyptian people, pointing out that the participation of the Christian Brothers in their celebrations is a sincere expression of the unity of the homeland, the originality and cohesion of Egyptians, and a true embodiment of unity and brotherhood under the wise leadership of His Excellency President Abdel Fattah al - Sisi, president of the Republic, and his loyal men from the armed forces and the police.
Dr. Al-manshawi pointed to the keenness of Assiut University to participate in the Christian Brothers ' holidays and offer congratulations, stressing the role of each individual in our society in participating in the construction and renaissance of our dear homeland, preserving noble human values, and countering any attempt aimed at undermining our national unity.
Then the president of Assiut University went to the Church of the "Coptic Catholic archbishopric" to offer congratulations, and he was received by Bishop Daniel Lotfi, the Catholic bishop of Assiut.
This was followed by a visit to the Coptic Orthodox brethren church, where he was received by Bishop Yoannes, Bishop of Assiut and its followers, followed by a visit to the second evangelical church to share its joys, and congratulate pastor Rafik Thabet, pastor of the church, and then visit the first evangelical church, and congratulate pastor Bassem Adly, pastor of the First Evangelical Church, wishing the attendees of the church and the masses of the Egyptian people security and prosperity.
For their part, the pastors and leaders of Assiut churches expressed their happiness with the delegation of Assiut University, and their appreciation for Dr. Ahmed Al-manshawi's keenness to come to congratulate on the Merry Christmas, which confirms the good spirit on the part of the university administration towards enhancing communication between all spectrums of Egyptian society, praising Assiut University's enlightened role as a scientific Beacon contributing to the dissemination of Science and knowledge, and protecting the minds of young people from destructive ideas, through organizing conferences, educational and awareness seminars; it plays an important role in the upliftment and development of the homeland, praising the previous years of close relations between the two sides and close cooperation.
A delegation from Assiut University participated in the visit, including Dr. Ahmed abdulmouly, vice president of the University for education and Student Affairs, Dr. Mahmoud Abdulalim, vice president of the University for community service and Environmental Development, Dr. Jamal Badr, vice president of the University for graduate studies and research, Dr. Madiha Darwish, dean of the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine and general supervisor of student activities, Dr. Hassan Hawil, dean of the Faculty of Education, Dr. Duaib saber, dean of the Faculty of law and legal adviser to the president of the University, Dr. Rehab El Dakhli, media adviser to the president of the University, Dr. Wajdi Nakhla, former dean of the Faculty of specific education, professor Shawkat saber, Secretary General of the University, and Mr. Gharib Khairy, director general of public relations and media and coordinator of the visit.
