بعض النقاط التي تناولتها الندوة:
مقدار بديل السكر الذي يمكنك استخدامه بأمان يوميًا، وتختلف هذه الكمية من شخص لآخر حسب وزنه ونوع بديل السكر المُستخدَم.بصفة عامة، المُحليات الصناعية آمنة للأصحاء، بما في ذلك الحوامل، عند تناولها بكمية محدودة إذا استُخدمت المُحليات الصناعية باعتدال، فقد تكون جزءًا من النظام الغذائي الصحي. بوجه عام، من الآمن تناول كميات صغيرة من بدائل السكر. ومن الأفضل استخدام بدائل السكر لفترة قصيرة، أو من حين لآخر. لذا حاول التقليل من بدائل السكر إذا كنت تستخدمها عدة مرات في اليوم. يجب ألا يعطي البالغون بدائل السكر للأطفال الذين تقل أعمارهم عن سنتين.بالنسبة إلى البالغين والأطفال الذين يعانون من زيادة الوزن أو السمنة، قد تساعد بدائل السكر أيضًا في التحكم في الوزن على المدى القصير
