The surgical pathology lab. Of Assiut University hospital is considered one of important laboratories as it currently the only lab that offers the diagnostic service to a large number of university hospital patients (about 3,000 patients/ year) as well as for patients with health insurance, Police Hospital and private clinics. The lab. also carry on tumor markers testing in collaboration with the tumor markers lab. (another lab. In our pathology department). Also the lab participates in a large number of scientific research projects. The lab. Is located in the second floor of the main Assiut University hospital above the radiology department and surgical emergency (trauma and accident reception).
