Faculty Board Responsibility

First: Planning, coordination, organization and follow-up issues

  • Drawing up the general policy for education and higher research in the faculty, and organizing and coordinating them between the different departments.
  • Develop a plan to complete and construct buildings, support laboratories, equipment and the library in the faculty.
  • Preparing the faculty's plan for scholarships, study leave, and dispatching foreign scholarships.
  • Preparing a program to complete the faculty members in the faculty.
  • Preparing the policy to encourage study in some departments of the faculty.
  • Preparing a policy to facilitate faculty students' access to books and university notes and to encourage authorship in some subjects.
  • Drawing the general framework for the work system in the faculty departments and organizing coordination between these departments.
  • Approving the scientific content of the study courses at the faculty and coordinating them in the different departments.
  • Expressing an opinion on setting the executive regulations for universities and preparing the internal regulations for the faculty.
  • Develop the internal regulations of the faculty library.
  • Organizing students' admission to the faculty and determining their numbers.
  • Organizing lessons, lectures, research, exercises and examination work in the faculty.
  • Discussing the annual report of the faculty, departmental reports, recommendations of scientific conferences of the faculty and departments, and evaluating the study, examination and research systems in the faculty, reviewing and renewing them in light of this and in the framework of scientific and educational progress and the demands and evolving needs of society.
  • Organizing the administrative and financial affairs in the faculty.
  • Preparing the faculty budget project.
  • Follow up the implementation of the general policy of education and research in the faculty.

 Second: operational issues

  • Distribution of financial appropriations to the departments.
  • Transferring students and transferring their enrollment to and from the faculty.
  • Enrolling students for postgraduate studies, registering master's and doctoral theses, appointing committees to judge theses, and preparing registration and registration.
  • Distribution of practical lessons and lectures.
  • Determining exam dates, setting schedules, distributing its work, forming committees, determining the duties of the examinees, approving the examination committees' deliberations and exam results in the faculty.
  • Suggesting the award of degrees, certificates and diplomas from the faculty.
  • Nomination for scholarships, grants, study leave and full-time rewards for postgraduate studies.
  • Suggesting the appointment and transfer of faculty members in the faculty.
  • Delegating to and from the faculty.
  • Nomination for scientific assignments, secondments and sabbatical leaves.
  • Taking care of the students' social and sports affairs.
  • Suggesting the acceptance of donations, taking into account the provisions of the Universities Organizing Law in this regard.
  • Approving the transfer of students from the corresponding institutions and institutes to universities subject to the Universities Regulation Law.
  • Acceptance of transfer and transfer of enrollment of students from institutions or institutes not affiliated with the universities subject to this law.
  • Registration of master's and doctoral theses, appointment of judging committees on these theses, and cancellation of registration.

 Third: Miscellaneous issues

  • Other issues referred to it by the University Board.
  • Other issues that are relevant to it according to the Universities Organizing Law.

The Dean of the Faculty implements the decisions of the Faculty Board, and reports the minutes of the sessions to the President of the University. He also informs him of the decisions within eight days from the date of their issuance, and informs the relevant university bodies and authorities of the decisions that must be communicated to them.

  • Senior Professors who have been appointed as members
  • Senior Associate Professors who have been appointed as members
  • Senior Assistant Professors
  • Members from outside the faculty

 The Board meets in the third week of every month
