Under the patronage of Prof. Dr. Shehata Ghareeb, Vice President for Education and Student Affairs, and Prof. Reham Refaat El-Meligy, Dean of the College of Early Childhood Education, the Youth Welfare Department, led by Prof. Wael Salah, Director of the Department, in cooperation with the College Students Union, led by the Secretary of the Union, the student / Sarah Taha held a party to welcome new students for the academic year 2021-2022.
The ceremony began with the recitation of verses from the Noble Qur’an by one of the college students, followed by the speech of the Dean of the College, Prof. Reham El-Meligy, in which she welcomed the new students enrolled in the first year of the college and introduced them to the various departments of the college and the study in the college and encouraged them to adhere to the academic and moral level to be A good example for the university student and wished them a happy academic year full of achievements, then her Excellency honored two of the college’s symbols, namely Prof. Dr. Shahnaz Mohamed, the first head of the Child Education Department at the Faculty of Education, through which the Faculty of Education for Early Childhood was born, and Prof. Dr. Magda Hashem Bakhit, the first dean of the College of Early Childhood Education, by presenting memorial shields to them and introducing the students to their role in establishing the college.
Then came the speech of Dr. Yara Ibrahim, Vice Dean for Graduate Studies and Research, who introduced the students to the field of scientific research in the postgraduate stage of the college and urged the students to enroll in graduate studies upon graduation to increase their experience in the field of early childhood education.
Dr. Manal Anwar, Vice Dean for Community Service and Environmental Development, spoke in her speech about the efforts to develop the surrounding environment within Assiut Governorate through the Faculty of Early Childhood Education.
Then came the turn of the heads of departments within the college, Dr. Lamia Ahmed Kadwany, Head of the Educational Sciences Department, Dr. Doaa Mostafa, Head of the Psychological Sciences Department, and Prof. Reham El-Meligy, the Supervisor of the Basic Sciences Department, to introduce the students to the subjects taught within each department.
Then came the role of entertainment, so some college students performed patriotic songs and recited poetry, and the ceremony concluded by introducing the students to student activities that can be practiced through the College of Youth Welfare Department and in cooperation with the College Students Union.
