Assiut University Organizes the Exhibition of "Triafoga Play" at the Faculty of Fine Arts
Under the patronage of Professor El-Menshawy, President of Assiut University, the Faculty of Fine Arts organized an art exhibition entitled "The Play (Triafoga)... The Symbolic Dimensions of Scenography in the Formation of Space in the Theatrical Show (Triafuga)", by Dr. Ghada Salah Al-Najjar, Assistant Professor at the Faculty of Fine Arts, on Tuesday, June 30, 2026, in the photography hall on the ground floor of the college, within the framework of the promotion exhibitions for faculty members, and the exhibition lasts for 14 days.
The opening of the exhibition witnessed the presence of Dr. Gamal Badr, Vice President for Graduate Studies and Research, and Dr. Mohamed Adawi, Vice President for Community Service and Environmental Development, under the supervision of Dr. Mohamed Helmy Al-Hefnawi, Dean of the College and Acting Vice Dean for Graduate Studies, and Dr. Mohamed Abdel Hakim, Vice Dean for Education and Student Affairs and Head of the Department of Sculpture.
The exhibition presents a design vision of the elements of the scenography of the theatrical show through the employment of decoration and costumes and their relationship to lighting in the formation of the theatrical space, and is titled "Triafoga", which means "alarm" in Russian.

The theatrical show deals with the idea of the perpetual conflict between peace and war, highlighting the dangers that may lead to the destruction of the world, through the story of the leader "Petrov" who seeks to prevent the outbreak of a new war and save humanity from its catastrophic consequences. The show also discusses a number of social and humanitarian issues related to wars, foremost of which is family disintegration, in addition to the struggle for influence, control and ambitions that exacerbate with the outbreak of conflicts, and this vision is presented in a theatrical format that combines acting performances, songs, and kinetic performances. This reflects the directorial vision and embodies the suffering of human beings around the world.
The show is written by Mohamed Zaki, directed by Mohamed Lotfy, décor and costumes by Dr. Ghada Salah Al-Najjar, and produced by the Ahmed Bahaa El-Din Culture Palace in Assiut.

Dr. Mohamed Adawi stressed that the initiative comes within the plan of the Community Service and Environmental Development Sector at Assiut University to spread health awareness and promote prevention and early detection programs, pointing out that speech and speech disorders are among the problems that require early intervention to achieve the best therapeutic and rehabilitation results. He added that the university is keen to educate parents about the early indicators of these disorders, which contributes to the speed of diagnosis, improves the chances of children's integration into the educational and community environment, and helps them develop communication skills, in a way that supports their academic success and social, and embodies the university's mission in serving the community and achieving the goals of sustainable development.
For her part, Dr. Reham Rifaat Al-Meligi explained that the College of Early Childhood Education pays great attention to the child's health and integrated development, and is keen to implement community initiatives that combine academic role and community service. She added that the initiative included providing free sessions for children by speech specialists, with the aim of early detection of signs of speech difficulties and speech defects, in addition to educating parents on ways to properly deal with these cases, and the importance of resorting to specialists when noticing any language delay or disorders In speech, which contributes to supporting children's linguistic and cognitive development, and improving their level of academic achievement.
The event was attended by Dr. Manal Anwar Sayed, Vice Dean for Graduate Studies and Research, Dr. Wafa Maher Attia, Vice Dean for Community Service and Environmental Development, Dr. Najwan Abbas Hammam, Head of the Department of Psychological Sciences at the College, Mr. Abdel Rahim Fouad, Speech Specialist and Founder of the Abdel Rahim Fouad Foundation for Training and Skills Development in Assiut, and Ms. Nourihan Assem, Speech Therapist and Founder of IQ Center for speech, skills development, and psychological and behavioral rehabilitation in Assiut, with the participation of a group of faculty members and their assistants, nursery teachers, parents, and children.

Professor El-Menshawy, President of Assiut University, and Dr. Mostafa Kamal, President of Badr University in Assiut, witnessed the signing ceremony of a cooperation protocol between the two universities, which aims to provide field training for students of the Faculty of Languages and Translation at Badr University in Assiut within the language centers at Assiut University, in a way that contributes to developing their language and practical skills, and enhancing their readiness for the labor market.
The protocol was signed by Dr. Mohamed Adawi, Vice President of Assiut University for Community Service and Environmental Development, and Dr. Essam Zenati, Vice President of Badr University in Assiut for Education and Student Affairs.
Professor El-Menshawy stressed that the signing of the protocol comes within the framework of Assiut University's strategy aimed at expanding the scope of cooperation with various universities, and strengthening partnerships that contribute to preparing qualified cadres who possess the necessary academic and applied skills to keep pace with the requirements of the labor market. He added that the university pays great attention to field training as one of the main axes for qualifying
students, and linking theoretical aspects with practical application, in a way that contributes to improving the quality of educational outcomes.
For his part, Dr. Mostafa Kamal expressed his appreciation to Assiut University, stressing that this cooperation represents an important addition for the students of the Faculty of Languages and Translation at Badr University in Assiut, by providing them with the opportunity to benefit from the specialized capabilities and expertise that Assiut University possesses in the field of language education and training, to enhance their professional abilities and raise their readiness to compete in the labor market.
Dr. Mohamed Adawi explained that the protocol includes the implementation of an integrated field training program with a total of 30 training hours within the English and German language centers at Assiut University, and includes four main axes: management and professional communication in English and German, soft skills workshops, observation and field practice, writing presentations and preparing a resume (CV/resume)., in a way that contributes to the development of students' language and professional skills, and provides them with practical experiences that qualify them to integrate efficiently into the labor market.

Under the auspices of Professor El-Menshawy, President of Assiut University, the Community Service and Environmental Development Sector organized a workshop entitled "Procedures of the Environmental Practices and Sustainability Follow-up Committee for the University Faculties and the Techniques of Completing Their Reports", for the members of the Environmental Practices and Sustainability Follow-up Committee at the Faculties of Assiut University (the Committee for the Best Eco-Friendly College), headed by Dr. Mohamed Adawi, Vice President for Community Service and Environmental Development Affairs, and under the supervision of Dr. Mohamed Mostafa Hamad, Professor at the Faculty of Education and General Coordinator of the Committee, and Dr. Rehab Al-Dakhli, Media Coordinator of the Committee. This is part of the university's efforts to consolidate the culture of environmental sustainability and promote environmentally friendly practices within its various colleges.
The workshop was attended by members of the Environmental Practices and Sustainability Follow-up Committee, which includes a group of faculty members from various faculties of the university, with the aim of unifying work mechanisms and raising the efficiency of preparing field follow-up reports in accordance with the approved standards.
Professor El-Menshawy stressed that the university continues to implement its vision towards consolidating the principles of environmental sustainability, by supporting environmentally friendly practices, and creating a sustainable university environment that is in line with the goals of the state and Egypt's vision for sustainable development, pointing out that the university is keen to spread environmental awareness among all its affiliates, and to support colleges in developing their educational environment, in a way that contributes to protecting resources and rationalizing their consumption.
Dr. Mohamed Adawi explained that the Committee for the Follow-up of Environmental Practices and Sustainability is working according to a clear plan to monitor and evaluate the environmental performance in the university's colleges, by following up on a number of axes, including infrastructure, green spaces, transportation, waste management, and other sustainability indicators, in a way that enhances positive competition among colleges and supports continuous improvement efforts. He added that the field visits of the committee will start from Sunday, July 12, 2026, through five consecutive rounds, to follow up on the level of compliance with environmental standards, and monitor what has been achieved developed within the colleges, in order to support the achievement of institutional sustainability.
During the workshop, Dr. Mohamed Mustafa Hamad reviewed the procedures of field visits and the mechanisms for their implementation, stressing the importance of following up on the corrective measures implemented according to the reports of previous visits, in addition to clarifying the technical and linguistic foundations for preparing follow-up reports, and how to highlight the aspects of excellence and opportunities for improvement within each college.
He also addressed the documentation mechanisms as one of the most important evidence and evidence supporting evaluation reports, while clarifying the best practices in integrating them into the final reports, and concluded the workshop by presenting the approved forms of reports, which include the evaluation indicators of classrooms, administrative offices, cafeterias, toilets, warehouses, skylights, green spaces, and the transportation system, in order to ensure the
unification of evaluation standards and the achievement of the highest levels of quality in the committee's work.
Dr. Rehab Al-Dakhli, Media Coordinator of the Committee, stressed that media documentation of field visits is an important tool to highlight successes and distinguished environmental practices within the university's colleges, and to disseminate positive models that contribute to stimulating the spirit of constructive competition between colleges. She added that media documentation is also keen to monitor aspects that need to be developed, in support of continuous improvement efforts and achieving environmental sustainability goals.
At the end of the event, the two members of the committee, Prof. Dr. Randa Mohamed Youssef, Professor at the College of Agriculture, and Prof. Dr. Samar Al-Sheshtawi, Assistant Professor at the College of Agriculture, were honored in appreciation of their efforts in the work of the Committee, and congratulated them on the occasion of their scientific promotion.
