The past years have witnessed a great international interest in sustainable development issues, and there has also been interest in the concept of sustainability in education, in order to engaging with a new generation capable of dealing with sustainable development. One of the goals of sustainable development is to focus on the lives of future generations and create a society capable of understanding and working to protect our natural resources. Therefore, education and the various issues and problems associated with it have become important and researchable topics in order to achieve the desired sustainable development.

Higher education institutions have paid special attention as they have many tasks in our world today, they must reduce their environmental impact resulting from various direct and indirect activities carried out in educational institutions, conduct research and provide education in the field of sustainability, and prepare an environment that allows students and workers to develop new capabilities that lead to sustainable practices, resulting in a more sustainable society.
