Professor Ahmed El-Minshawy, President of Assiut University, and Major General Ahmed El-Shahaby, President of the National Center for Studies, signed a joint cooperation protocol today, Sunday, 9 November. The agreement aims to exchange scientific and practical expertise, organize training programs, workshops, and courses to raise awareness among university youth, and enhance educational performance in line with the latest developments in modern sciences and local, regional, and global issues.
The signing ceremony was attended by Major General Dr. Ahmed Farouk, Director of the National Center for Studies, and Mr. Hany El-Asser, Executive Director of the Center. From Assiut University, attendees included Professor Mohamed Ahmed Adawy, Vice Dean of the Faculty of Commerce for Education and Student Affairs and Advisor to the University President on Graduate Affairs, Entrepreneurship, and Innovation, as well as Ms. Salwa Abdelazim, PhD Researcher at the Faculty of Commerce.
During the meeting, Professor El-Minshawy welcomed the delegation from the National Center for Studies and expressed his pride in this collaboration, describing it as an important step in the University’s ongoing efforts to strengthen national partnerships that support educational development, scientific and training exchange, and the enhancement of academic services. He praised the Center’s prominent role in studying international issues and providing research insights that contribute to policy development and informed decision-making.
Professor El-Minshawy emphasized that Assiut University is one of the leading scientific institutions in Upper Egypt, whose distinguished academic and administrative leadership has cemented its position among Egypt’s foremost universities in scientific, research, and community engagement. He reaffirmed the University’s continuous commitment to advancing education and preparing graduates with the skills and knowledge needed to meet the challenges of the modern era.
The protocol aims to organize joint events between Assiut University and the National Center for Studies, including workshops, seminars, conferences, and strategic dialogues, as well as to develop proposals for these activities and provide the necessary resources for their implementation. It also covers collaboration in conducting research projects and training activities through joint working teams from both sides.
For his part, Major General El-Shahaby expressed his deep appreciation for Assiut University, noting that it represents a beacon of knowledge and scholars in Upper Egypt. He extended his thanks to Professor El-Minshawy and the University’s leadership for this constructive cooperation, which reflects the University’s dedication to strengthening scientific and cultural ties with various institutions locally and regionally.
