• Bed capacity in the hospital (358 beds).

• Reception of patients in the different receptions sections (neurological reception - psychological reception).

• Referring patients to internal departments, whether :( for neurological or psychiatric diseases, addiction or brain surgery).

• Referring critical cases from different departments to intensive care.

• EEG works - Muscle drawing - Sleep lab - Drug measurements lab. • There are five operations lists per week, each list at least (5) patients.

• The hospital treats cases of strokes and acute brain hemorrhage and works to break up strokes in the Stroke Unit of the Neurological Diseases Department and the Neurosurgery Department.

• The hospital treats critical cases of neuritis and spinal cord inflammation.

• The Neurological Department conducts research on epidemiological and genetic diseases and participates in the treatment of these diseases. • No less than (60) modern patients visit clinics for neurological and psychiatric diseases and neurosurgery every day.

• The clinics of neurological and psychiatric diseases and brain and neurosurgery are frequented by at least (40) follow-ups daily.

• The hospital services extend to all Upper Egypt governorates :( From Beni Suef to Aswan, the New Valley and the Red Sea). Activities and medical services provided:
• The hospital lends a number of its faculty members to join the medical convoys organized by the College of Medicine throughout the year in order to raise health efficiency and educate patients.

• Weekly seminars are held in the hospital to present new developments in the field of Neurology diseases, psychiatry and neurosurgery, as well as discussing some critical cases.

• The hospital hosts some faculty members from other governorates in order to exchange experiences, perform some surgeries and discuss masters and doctoral theses.

• The hospital holds some annual conferences in neurological and psychiatric diseases and neurosurgery, and invites specialized doctors from all governorates to attend.

• The hospital hosts some doctors from outside the Arab Republic of Egypt, such as (Yemen, Syria and Palestine) in order to train them and grant them master's and doctoral degrees.

• The hospital has a mental and behavioral measurement center - an addiction treatment center - a plasma separation unit.
