Quality Policy at Asyut University Hospital of Neurological, Psychiatric and Neurosurgery


The University Hospital of Neurological, Psychiatric and Neurosurgery in Asyut undertakes to provide distinguished medical services such as:-
▪ Reception of patients in the different receptions sections (neurological reception - psychological reception).

▪ Receiving patients of the nervous system in general and specialized neurology clinics, such as the epilepsy, stroke and multiple sclerosis clinics, the musculoskeletal system and movement disorders clinic, and the headache clinic.

▪ Treating patients with nervous system at all therapeutic levels.

▪ Treating psychiatric patient's at all therapeutic levels.

▪ Treatment of acute brain clots and hemorrhages and the work of breaking up brain clots with clot-solvents, as well as through interventional brain catheterization.

▪ The presence of intensive care to treat critical cases in the different departments.

▪ A comprehensive stroke unit to deal with acute brain clots and hemorrhages.

▪ Diagnosis of psychological and neurological diseases through the unit of neurophysiology with its full equipment (brain mapping - muscle mapping - sleep lab) as well as the psychological and behavioral measurements center.

▪ Receiving patients with neurosurgery and spine at the Neurosurgery Clinic.
▪ Carrying out advanced operations for neurosurgery (congenital operations for children from hydrocephalus and spinal hernia, microscopic excision of brain tumors, spinal cord tumor removal operations, spinal disc removal operations and stabilization of vertebrae of various types, congenital defects repair of arteries Brain veins, emptying of blood pools in the brain, emptying and excision of brain abscesses, decompression of the brain in cases of brain clots, grafting of skull bones after loss of skull bones in accidents, measuring brain pressure.
