Medicine Faculty at AUN aims To

HISTORY (FACULTY STORY)

Established in 1960, the faculty of Medicine at Assiut University (AUFOM) is the oldest medical school in Upper Egypt, it serves as the largest academic health complex in the Upper Egypt that combines medical education, biomedical research, patient care, and community outreach services. When it first started, there was no independent building for the faculty of Medicine; the students used to study in the same building of the faculty of Science, and the number of graduates was 57 students.

 

Now in 2020, the faculty has its own building, 32 departments, 22 lecture halls, 37 classrooms, 39 Laboratories, and 3380 students.
