Goals and Objectives:
- The (TCSC) overall goals are to enhance understanding, diagnosis, treatment, and prevention of multiple human and animal diseases.
- The Unit provides a wide range cultivates of interdisciplinary basic primary, cancer cell, translational stem cell and tissue research and encourages rapid translation of discoveries into innovative and practical clinical applications.
- To perform and adopt interactive research and education on primary cell line, cancer cell line, stem cell and tissue culture research.
- To enhance education on cell and tissue culture biology with regard to ethical, legal and societal issues and to provide training in cancer cell line, stem cell and tissue culture methodology in cooperation with other faculties, including Medicine, Veterinary Medicine, Pharmacy, Science and Dentistry.
- To develop collaborative postgraduate educational programs, highlighting important themes in primary cell line, cancer cell line, stem cell and tissue culture research.
- To educate the community via lectures, workshops and interactions with media.
- To improve core resources for cell lines and tissue culture research, including cell line production, differentiation, and banking.
- Providing different cell lines and stem cells for post-graduate studnets and researchers in the field of tissue culture.
- Providing researchers with different equipment and tools for performing their scientific research.
- Training researchers on how to use and benefit cell culture technologies through holding lectures, seminars, workshops etc.
