The Community Service and Environmental Development Sector at the Faculty of Pharmacy organized a Health and Awareness Day focusing on smoking and the prevention of chronic diseases such as diabetes, anemia, and obesity. This event was held in cooperation with the Community Service and Environmental Development Sector of the Faculty of Medicine and in collaboration with the Youth Health Center (Public Health Department – Faculty of Medicine), in conjunction with World No Tobacco Day.
The day began with a visit from Prof. Dr. Mahmoud Abdel-Aleem – Vice President for Community Service and Environmental Development – who inspected the awareness campaign held at the Faculty’s courtyard and observed the ongoing activities.
This was followed by a seminar on smoking cessation, presented by:
- Prof. Dr. Medhat El-Araby – Professor of Clinical Nutrition and Public Health, Faculty of Medicine
- Prof. Dr. Mahmoud Attia – Emeritus Professor, Public Health Department, Faculty of Medicine
The event was attended by a distinguished group of faculty members, teaching assistants, administrative and support staff from the Faculty of Pharmacy, as well as pharmacists from university hospitals.
