Under the patronage of

 Prof. Dr. Ahmed Abd El-Mawla, President of Assiut University, and Prof. Dr. Gihan Nabil Fetih, Dean of the Faculty of Pharmacy, and in the presence of Prof. Dr. Ahmed Safwat, Vice Dean for Education and Student Affairs; Prof. Dr.Noha Nahedj Atia, Vice Dean for Community Service and Environmental Development; and Prof. Dr. Mostafa Ahmed Hussein, former Head of the Department of Pharmaceutical Organic Chemistry,

and under the supervision of Dr. Anber Fangari Mohammed, Assistant Professor at the Department of Pharmaceutical Organic Chemistry, Director of the Student Research Unit (SRU), and Training Supervisor, the Student Research Unit concluded its 2026 Summer Training Program, entitled:

“From Pharmaceutical Fragment Synthesis to Computational Drug Discovery”

As part of the Student Research Unit’s commitment to developing students’ scientific and research skills through an integrated training program combining organic chemistry and medicinal chemistry, a group of students participated in the training program held from July 5 to July 29, 2026.

The training was conducted in collaboration with the Departments of Pharmaceutical Organic Chemistry and Medicinal Chemistry, the Student Computer Unit, and the Pharmaceutical Services Center.

At the conclusion of the training program, Prof. Dr. Gihan Nabil Fetih, Dean of the Faculty of Pharmacy, presented certificates of participation to the participating faculty members and students, in recognition of their efforts and participation in the program.

The closing ceremony and certificate distribution took place on Tuesday, August 11, 2026, at the Faculty Training Hall.
