Visit of Professor Dr. Selcuk Akpinar, Dean of the Faculty of Sports Sciences, Nevsehir Haci Bektaş University, Turkey

The Faculty of Sports Sciences, Assiut University, was honored by an official visit from Professor Selcuk Akpinar, Dean of the Faculty of Sports Sciences at Nevşehir Hacı Bektas Veli University (Turkey). This visit comes as part of ongoing efforts to enhance international academic cooperation. The delegation was received by Professor Emad Samir, Dean of the Faculty, along with Vice Deans Professor Yasser Hassan, Vice Dean for Education and Student Affairs, Professor Ahmed Khedry, Vice Dean for Graduate Studies and Research, Professor Mustafa El-Sebaei, Vice Dean for Community Service and Environmental Development, and Protocol Coordinator Professor Khaled Abdel Karim, Professor in the Department of Sports Training and Movement Sciences at the Faculty. Professor Akpinar held meetings with the President of Assiut University and the Dean of the Faculty of Sports Sciences. Discussions focused on potential opportunities for cooperation, including academic exchange programs, joint research projects, and the organization of joint scientific activities in the fields of physical education and sports science. This visit aligns with Nevşehir Hacı Bektaş Veli University's vision for internationalization, led by its President, Prof. Semih Aktekin. Under his leadership, the university continues to strengthen international partnerships to promote academic excellence and cultural exchange.
Professor Akpinar emphasized the importance of these visits in building sustainable academic networks and enhancing cultural understanding, and expressed his commitment to strengthening cooperation between the two institutions.
During his visit to the college, he was taken on an inspection tour to learn about the college's various facilities, including playgrounds, auditoriums, and educational halls, as well as the health club and fitness hall. Meetings were also held with college leaders and faculty members, introducing them to the College of Sports Sciences in Turkey, avenues for academic cooperation, and the possibility of concluding a cooperation protocol between Assiut University and the College of Sports Sciences in particular.
During his visit, he expressed his great pleasure at the warm welcome he received from the college and Assiut University leadership, and the distinguished facilities and capabilities he saw at the college. He is determined to work hard to finalize the cooperation protocol to maximize the benefits between the College of Sports Sciences at Nevşehir University in Turkey and the College of Sports Sciences at Assiut University in Egypt in this regard.
