Student seminar for the Quality Assurance Unit for students of the College of Sports Sciences

Under the auspices of Professor Dr. Ahmed El-Menshawy, President of the University, and Professor Dr. Ahmed Abdel-Mawla, Vice President for Education and Student Affairs, the Quality Assurance Unit at the Faculty of Sports Sciences, Assiut University, organized a student symposium for third- and fourth-year students entitled:
"A Study of the Obstacles Facing Students and the Requirements of the Labor Market."
The symposium was held on Wednesday, October 1, 2025, in Hall 2 of the Faculty. The symposium was attended by Professor Dr. Emad Samir Mahmoud, Dean of the Faculty; Professor Dr. Yasser Hassan Hamed, Vice Dean for Education and Student Affairs; Professor Dr. Ahmed Khedry, Vice Dean for Graduate Studies and Research; Professor Dr. Mustafa Ahmed Abdel-Wahab, Vice Dean for Community Service and Environmental Development; and Professor Dr. Tarek Mohamed Abdel-Aziz, Director of the Faculty's Quality Assurance Unit. Also present were heads of academic departments, members of the Quality Assurance Unit, and a number of faculty members and their assistants.

The seminar was opened by Assistant Professor Dr. Bassam El-Sayed, Deputy Director of the Quality Assurance and Accreditation Unit at the College, who recited the national anthem. The seminar opened with verses from the Holy Quran, followed by a welcome speech. Students were introduced to the organizational structure of the College's Quality Management Department, including members of the Board of Directors and the Executive Office, and their roles in supporting the development process were explained. The mechanisms and requirements for the College to achieve quality and academic accreditation were also reviewed.

During the seminar, student representatives from the academic departments raised key issues, most notably the obstacles associated with the current regulations and the challenges facing the College's graduates in the labor market. These topics were discussed and addressed by the Dean of the College, the Vice Dean for Education and Student Affairs, and the Director of the Quality Assurance Unit.

The seminar witnessed a distinguished attendance and interaction from students across the College's various academic years, particularly third- and fourth-year students, who demonstrated a keen interest and willingness to participate in supporting the College's quality process.

At the conclusion of the symposium, the Dean of the College emphasized that quality is a work culture and collective practice that the College seeks to instill. He called on its students to adhere to the spirit of creativity and development and to actively participate in the College's progress. He wished them continued excellence and success in their academic and future endeavors.
