Department Vision

Food Science and Technology department aims to reach excellence and accreditation in the field of agricultural education and scientific research at the national, regional and international levels.
This can be achieved through a commitment to the criteria of quality and development in the field of education, scientific research, production units, training and constructive cooperation with local communities, and scientific institutions to reach sustainable development of human and natural resources.
 

Department Objectives

1- Providing high quality education to prepare graduates and researchers who have the ability to keep pace with development in the field of food science and technology, scientific research and community service.
2- The continuing development of curricula and the skills of workers in the field of food science and technology and scientific research related to agricultural development and community service.
3- Conducting research and scientific studies that could contribute to solving problems of food industry, nutrition and development at the national level, particularly in the Upper Egypt region.
4- Providing expertise, consultancy and training for workers in the field of food science and technology.
