The Community Service and Environmental Development Sector of the college participated in the Charity Clothing Exhibition held during the period from May 17 to 21, 2026.

The Community Service and Environmental Development Sector of the Faculty participated in the Charity Clothing Exhibition held during the period from May 17 to 21, 2026.

The sector contributed more than 500 clothing items for adults and children, benefiting a total of 280 visitors to the exhibition.

By the grace of God, on Sunday, May 17, 2026, the first lecture of the integrated training program for healthcare service providers at the hospital was successfully concluded under the title:

“Effective Communication Skills and Their Role in Enhancing Nursing Performance in the Field of Dental Implants”

The lecture was delivered by Prof. Dr. Raafat Tammam – Professor and Head of the Fixed Prosthodontics Department. The lecture covered nursing fundamentals, the essential skills required for dental implant procedures, as well as proper scientific methods for diagnosis and patient follow-up.

The training program was inaugurated by Prof. Dr. Mohamed Nahed Attia – Vice Dean of the Faculty for Community Service and Environmental Development Affairs. His Excellency pointed out that this training program comes within the plan of the Community Service and Environmental Development Sector for the academic year 2025–2026, aiming to improve the efficiency of staff members through awareness seminars, training courses, and workshops.

Sincere thanks and appreciation are extended to Prof. Dr. Raafat Tammam for his valued contributions to the sector’s activities and for his efforts in enhancing the efficiency of the staff at the Faculty and Hospital of Dentistry.

Meeting of the Community Service and Environmental Development Sector with a representative from the University Energy Management Center to explain the system used for monitoring energy consumption and the measures taken to reduce consumption.

Upon the assignment of Prof. Dr. Ahmed Abdelmalek – Director of the University Energy Management Center – and on the sidelines of the monthly meetings of the Community Service and Environmental Development Sector, a meeting was held on Monday, May 4, with Prof. Dr. Ahmed El-Nozahy – Professor at the Faculty of Engineering, Assiut University – representing the University Energy Management Center, together with the faculty and hospital administrative directors and members of the specialized committees of the Community Service and Environmental Development Sector, in the presence of Prof. Dr. Mohamed Nahed Attia – Vice Dean for Community Service and Environmental Development Affairs – and Mr. Montaser Hussein – Secretary General of the Faculty.

His Excellency explained the services provided by the University Energy Management Center, in addition to the general guidelines and proper scientific procedures that contribute to reducing consumption and rationalizing energy use.

In turn, the Vice Dean for Community Service and Environmental Development Affairs explained the system adopted for monitoring energy consumption and the measures taken to reduce consumption, in addition to ways of cooperating with the Energy Management Center to maximize overall benefit.

Important Announcement for Students.

 

The schedule for the practical examinations for students with deferred courses, accepted excuses, and those who did not attend the practical examinations at the Faculty of Dentistry (Governmental and Private Programs) for the second semester of the 2025–2026 academic year has been announced.

The examinations will be held on Saturday, May 9, 2026, from 3:30 PM to 5:00 PM in the laboratories on the second floor, Physics Department.

conducted an inspection tour on Saturday, May 2, 2026, to follow up on the final examinations of the 2025/2026 academic year for the various Faculty classes (Second Year Governmental Program, Second Year Private Program, and Fifth Year).

The inspection took place in the Faculty examination halls in the presence of:
Prof. Dr. Ahmed Attaya – Head of Examination Committees,
Mr. El-Montasir Hussein – Secretary General of the Faculty,
and Dr. Essam Qassem Soliman – Director of the Education and Student Affairs Administration at the Faculty.

The officials ensured that the examinations were proceeding smoothly and efficiently in an organized and orderly atmosphere, supported by the cooperation of all departments and staff members of the Faculty.

The sixth scientific day organized by the Continuing Medical Education Unit at the Faculty for physicians of the Ministry of Health and Health Insurance was successfully concluded on Thursday, April 30, 2026.

The scientific day was inaugurated by Prof. Dr. Mohamed Nahid Attia, Vice Dean for Community Service and Environmental Development, who warmly welcomed the attendees. He emphasized the Continuing Medical Education Unit’s commitment to the scientific plan for the 2025–2026 academic year and its ongoing dedication to providing the necessary scientific support for graduate dentists affiliated with the Ministry of Health and Health Insurance.

This event comes within the framework of the Faculty’s Community Service and Environmental Development Sector plan to organize a series of scientific days throughout the 2025–2026 academic year, reflecting the Faculty’s societal role in enhancing the competencies of graduate physicians and activating the cooperation protocol between the Directorate of Health and the Health Insurance Authority in the governorate.

The event witnessed remarkable attendance, with more than sixty physicians from the Ministry of Health and Health Insurance, in addition to teaching assistants and internship doctors from the Faculty.
