Fulbright grants for Egyptians

  PROGRAM GOAL: Provides grant opportunities for university graduates, masters and doctoral degree candidates, and young professionals and artists to study and conduct research in the United States.   GRANT TYPES: · Masters Degree Grants: up to two years for persons wishing to pursue postgraduate degrees in the U.S. · Non-degree Grants: six to nine months for persons registered for advanced degrees in Egyptian universities who wish to conduct research in the U.S. · Fine and Applied Arts Grants: six to nine months for artists who wish to conduct field research or attend master classes with professionals in the U.S.     ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA: · Egyptian citizenship; holders of U.S. green cards and/or passports are ineligible. · Bachelor,s degree. Minimum of (Good) for applicants in American studies, humanities, and social sciences. Minimum of (Very Good) for applicants in the sciences. · Minimum of two years post-graduate experience at the time of application. · For Non-Degree applicants: proof of registered masters or doctoral thesis at an Egyptian university. · For Fine Applied and Performing Arts applicants: proof of participation in at least three post-graduate artistic activities or exhibitions; No TOEFL score required. · Minimum Institutional (Local-ITP) TOEFL score of 550 from AMIDEAST Egypt or any of the ETS approved centers listed below, or its iBT (80) or IELTS (6) equivalent   Center Designated Governorates Nile Academy and Mansoura University El Dakahlia Governorate MASRYA Sohag, New Valley- Qena- Luxor -Aswan and Hurghada The American Canadian Center Menoufia Governorate The American Language Center Damietta and Port Said El Manara International Academy El-Minia, Assuit and Beni Suef   ELIGIBLE FIELDS:   All fields are eligible except medicine, veterinary medicine and dentistry.   GRANT BENEFITS:   · Travel allowance. · Stipend. · Other allowances. · Medical insurance. · For masters degree and fine & applied arts grants only: Partial tuition and/or university fees.     AY2014-2015 PROGRAM:   · Announcement: January 25- 2013. · Application: https://apply.embark.com/student/fulbright/international · Guidelines · Deadline: April 23- 2013- 4:30 p.m.   In-House Information Sessions: January 29- February 05- March 19- April 9 - 11:00-13:00.
