The Dean of the College receives the former Minister of Water Resources and Irrigation and the Head of the Irrigation Department at Alexandria Engineering to participate in the discussion of a doctoral dissertation in the Civil Engineering Department at t

 

On Monday, April 20th, Professor Khaled Salah, Dean of the Faculty of Engineering, received Professor Hossam Maghazi, former Minister of Water Resources and Irrigation and Head of the Irrigation and Hydraulics Department at the Faculty of Engineering, Alexandria University. This meeting took place on the sidelines of Professor Maghazi's participation in the examination of the doctoral dissertation submitted by Engineer Ahmed El-Sayed Ali Hassan, Assistant Researcher at the National Water Research Center, Ministry of Water Resources and Irrigation. The dissertation is titled "A Field Study on Replacing Traditional Flood Irrigation for Sugarcane in Upper Egypt with Drip Irrigation Technology."

The Dean also received Professor Iman El-Azizi, Vice President of 6th of October University and Professor of Irrigation and Hydraulics Engineering at the Faculty of Engineering, Ain Shams University. Also present were Professor Mohamed Abdel Salam Ashour, former Vice President of Assiut University and Professor of Irrigation and Hydraulic Structures Engineering at the Faculty of Engineering, Assiut University; Professor Shehata El-Dabaa Abdel Rahim, Vice Dean for Graduate Studies and Research and Engineering Consultant to the University; and several faculty members from the Civil Engineering Department.

Professor Salah also received Professor Maghazi on the sidelines of the examination of Professor Maghazi's participation in ... Professor Khaled Salah, Dean of the Faculty, expressed his sincere thanks and appreciation for their participation in the various scientific and academic activities undertaken by the Faculty, including conferences, thesis examinations, and other events.

It is worth noting that the thesis supervision committee included: Professor Mohamed Abdel Salam Ashour, Professor of Irrigation Engineering and former Vice President of the University; Dr. Tarek Sayed Abu Zeid, Assistant Professor of Irrigation Engineering at the Faculty of Engineering, Assiut University; and Professor Yasser Mohamed Ali, Head of the Department of Optimal Water Use at the National Water Research Center, Ministry of Water Resources and Irrigation. The examination and discussion committee included Professor Hossam Maghazi and Professor Iman El-Azizi, in addition to the thesis supervision committee.
