The Office of International Relations and Arab Universities Affairs at Assiut University announced that several faculty members at the university have won two Erasmus KA171 scholarships offered by Kastamonu University in Turkey. This announcement was made on the office's official website on April 16, 2025, and based on nominations received from the university's relevant faculties.

The winners were: Dr. Amani Hamed Abdel Hamid Obaid, Assistant Professor in the Department of Botany and Microbiology, Faculty of Science (primary candidate); Dr. Mohamed Sherif Ahmed Mohamed, Assistant Lecturer in the Department of Curriculum and Physical Education Teaching, Faculty of Physical Education (primary candidate); Dr. Ahmed Mohamed Hosni Abu Zeid, Lecturer in the Department of Curriculum and Physical Education Teaching, Faculty of Physical Education (reserve candidate); and Dr. Mohamed Gad El-Karim Obaid Ali, Director of the Dean's Office of the Faculty of Physical Education (reserve candidate).
