Dr. Maha Ghanem chairs the meeting of the Laboratory and Scientific Equipment Committee

Dr. Maha Ghanem, Vice President for Community Service and Environmental Development, chaired the meeting of the Laboratory and Scientific Equipment Committee held at the institute with the membership of Dr. Asmaa Abdel Nasser Husssein, Dean of Institute, in the presence of a group of deans of the university's various faculties and institutes, beside, Mr.  Mahmoud Sayed Bakhit, Secretary General of the University. The meeting discussed the ongoing implementation of a day for laboratory excellence in which, the best student, research, service and accredited laboratories are honored at the university. In addition, Dr. Maha Ghanem explained that the meeting comes within the framework of implementing the university’s plan to follow up the progress of work in all laboratories and at the university in preparation for its evaluation to determine the best for honoring its employees during the Laboratory Excellence Day scheduled to be held during the next March, where the laboratories will be evaluated in terms of meeting the requirements for instance, Administrative and development plans, technical requirements, work mechanism and outputs such as scientific publishing and its service to the college, university and society as a whole, security and prevention standards, and students ’opinion about them”. On the sidelines of the meeting, Dr. Maha Ghanem and members of the committee toured the laboratories of the Molecular Biology Research Unit, the Tissue Culture and Stem Cell Unit, in addition to the Biotechnology laboratory at the Institute.

The Vice-Dean officially registers the institute’s Research Ethics Committee in the US Department of Health and Human Services

Prof. Dr. Amr Mohamed Abdel-Fattah, Vice Dean of the Institute for Graduate Studies and Research, has officially registered the Institute's Research Ethics Committee in the US Department of Health and Human Services. For his part, Dr. Amr called the members of the supervising committees of graduate students on various degrees to register their research topics through the amended version of the Proposal Application Form, after adding some modifications. The modifications included the addition of the code number of the Scientific Research Ethics Committee of the Institute after officially registered and obtained its own code number in the US Department of Health and Human Services.
