The Quality Assurance Unit at the Faculty of Pharmacy , in collaboration with the Department of Technical Training and Development at University Hospitals , organized a training course on First Aid , with the participation of many students from the Faculty of Pharmacy, Assiut University, and Assiut National University.
The course was held under the supervision of:

Prof. Dr. Mostafa Ahmed Hussein – Head of the Department of Pharmaceutical Organic Chemistry & Coordinator of the Training Program
Prof. Dr. Gilan Abdel-Razek Abdel-Aleem – Professor at the Department of Industrial Pharmacy & Director of the Quality Assurance Unit
Dr. Howaida Khalaf – Assistant Consultant, Training Department at University Hospitals & Program Coordinator
Mrs. Sanaa Mazid – Director of Training Department, University Hospitals
Dr. Hanaa Rashad Matawe – Fellow, Training Department

The training program included theoretical lectures on the first day and practical sessions on the second day , covering several first aid topics such as:
Diabetic coma
Burns
Electric shocks
Poisoning
Cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR)
Safe injection practices
Measuring blood pressure, temperature, and blood sugar
And many other essential first aid skills
The Faculty of Pharmacy aims, through organizing such courses, to enhance and develop students’ skills in providing immediate support in emergency cases, thus contributing to creating a safe and healthy environment.
