Today, Monday, July 21, 2025, the College Council held its (263)th session, chaired by Professor Dr. Emad Samir, Dean of the College and Chairman of the Council, and attended by Council members from the College's vice deans and faculty members.
Professor Dr. Emad Samir, Dean of the College, began the session by welcoming the attendees. The Council then discussed a number of important topics across the College's various sectors. In the Graduate Studies and Research Sector, the Council addressed issues related to the formation of discussion committees for researchers, approving registration and grant decisions, reviewing the promotions of some faculty members, and directing the need to complete the work of the Graduate Studies Control Centers as quickly as possible.
In the Education and Student Affairs Sector, His Excellency discussed some matters related to the College's aptitude tests and the need for everyone to work together to ensure they are presented in a manner befitting and transparent, meeting everyone's aspirations and maintaining a respectable image. The council also discussed topics related to community service and environmental development, reviewing a number of proposals related to activating the college's activities in this regard. Ways to develop the university and service environment to serve the educational and student systems were also discussed. The meeting concluded with a presentation of several visions and ideas targeting development and innovation within the college, in light of the administration's ongoing pursuit of excellence and leadership for the Faculty of Sports Sciences at Assiut University, and its continued support for academic, scientific, and administrative progress.
