As an AUN Pharmacy student; Department of Microbiology & Immunology, you'll develop an understanding of the disease-causing potential of bacteria and viruses. You’ll further that knowledge by studying how the immune system responds to those kinds of threats. You’ll have the opportunity to join the ranks of microbiologists and immunologists who have worked hard to: Develop antibiotics and anti-viral medications Establish ways to detect infection and food/environmental contamination Create flu vaccines Eradicate diseases like polio Improve treatments for diseases like arthritis and multiple sclerosis
