Assiut University hosts the annual celebration of "Pharmacist's Day"

Under the supervision of Prof. Ahmed El-Minshawy, president of Assiut University, the University hosted the annual celebration of Pharmacist's Day, organized by the Assiut Pharmacists Syndicate, to honor (400) one of the pioneers of this ancient profession in Assiut Governorate. 
The ceremony was attended by: Prof. Ahmed Abdel Mawla, vice president of the University for Education and Student Affairs, Dr. Mohammed Zein, undersecretary of the Ministry of Health in Assiut, Dr. Alaa Arafat, captain of pharmacists, Dr. Mina Emad, deputy governor of Assiut, Dr. Mamdouh Mohammed, head of the syndicate, Dr. Ahmed Mohammed Osman, deputy chairman of the Health Insurance Authority, Dr. Heidi Sobhi Shaker, member of the syndicate Council, Dr. Ahmed Mohammed Qasem, member of the syndicate Council.

prof. Ahmed El-Minshawy pointed out that the Faculty of Pharmacy, at Assiut University, is one of the leading academic entities in the field of Pharmacy and pharmacology at the global level, thanks to its commitment to quality, scientific research, and continuous development, explaining that the pharmacist has a significantly influential role within hospitals and health care homes, pointing to Assiut University's keenness to honor the pioneers of this distinguished profession, and honor for the benefit of society; health, and economically.

For his part, Prof. Ahmed Abdel Mawla expressed his great happiness to participate in the celebration, which aims to raise awareness of the role of pharmacists, encourage activities that support the role of pharmacists in improving health care, in addition to encourage good competitiveness among the pharmacy profession in its various specialties, praising the role of the Pharmacists Syndicate in supporting the career of the Egyptian Pharmacist, appreciates the value of work, achievement, and keen to honor its loyal sons.

Dr. Alaa Arafat praised the fruitful cooperation between the University, the Pharmacists Syndicate in Assiut, and the Ministry of Health, explaining that the ceremony witnessed honoring pharmacists with diplomas, master's degrees, and doctorates, honoring the first students at the Faculty of Pharmacy, as well as honoring distinguished pharmacists professionally, honoring pharmacists pioneers who have reached retirement age, in addition to paying tribute to the deceased pharmacists during the past year.

The attendees also expressed their sincere thanks and appreciation to the ancient Assiut University, which is keen to provide all forms of support to the medical system in the governorate, with all its bodies and unions, including the Pharmacists ' Union, and also supports continuous learning, especially for graduates of medical schools, as well as its strong participation in various events, medical activities, and pharmacy at the governorate level.
