In cooperation with the Administrative Control Authority:Assiut University finishes the first phase of the training program for university students in the fields of governance and anti-corruption

Prof. El-Minshawy: the university is keen to strengthen the role of young people in preventing corruption in accordance with the objectives of the National Anti-Corruption Strategy

Prof. Ahmed El-Minshawy, president of Assiut University, announced that the university has completed the first phase of the training program for university students in the fields of governance and anti-corruption, by completing the first axis, which is to train (150) students from the University's faculties in the training programs organized by the National Anti-Corruption Academy in Cairo, in the fields of governance and anti-corruption, under the supervision of Dr. Mohammed Ahmed Adawi, director of the Center for future studies, and coordinator of Assiut University in the Global Initiative for education and youth empowerment.

Prof. Ahmed El-Minshawy explained that the university administration is keen to implement the axes and objectives of the National Anti-Corruption Strategy 2023-2030, and enhance the role of youth in addressing the phenomenon of corruption, and prevent corruption in accordance with the objectives of the National Anti-Corruption Strategy, by taking many executive measures in this regard, including encouraging students to participate in the training programs organized by the National Anti-Corruption Academy; in order to raise awareness of the importance of anti-corruption as one of the vocabulary of the National Anti-Corruption Strategy, it is also a good opportunity to exchange experiences with students of other Egyptian universities, pointing to its role in highlighting the efforts of the Egyptian state in the field of anti-corruption, spreading awareness the University's employees have the importance of adhering to the principles and foundations of governance.

For his side, Dr. Mohammed Adawi explained that the completion of the first phase of the training program for university students in the fields of governance and anti-corruption included the participation of a student delegation of (58) students from the faculties of Education, Arts, and social service, and the training was held at the headquarters of the National Academy for combating corruption during the period from February 16-18, 2025. The training dealt with the causes and effects of corruption, the anti-corruption agencies in Egypt, the role of the Administrative Control Authority and its functions in the fight against corruption, the information structure of the Egyptian state, the legislative and institutional framework for combating corruption, governance in the face of corruption, corruption and national security, and the National Anti-Corruption Strategy.
