Dr. Tarek El-Gammal, President of Assiut University, announced the university’s launch of the second edition of the Peoples Week Forum. It is scheduled to run from March 23 to 28, under the title “Peoples Against Extremism and Terrorism.” The forum is under the auspices of Dr. Khaled Abdel Ghaffar, Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research.  It also witnessed the participation of representatives from international students of various Arab, African, and foreign nationalities from more than 20 countries.

Dr. Shehata Ghareeb, Vice President for Education and Student Affairs, revealed that the forum aims to spread the values ​​of peace and tolerance, establish feelings of affection and respect among peoples, and call for acceptance of the other and the renunciation of violence and terrorism. Also, a group of distinguished and prominent personalities in the fields of religion, politics, sports and art participated in the forum.
