Under the supervision of Dr. Ahmed El-Minshawy, president of Assiut University, the English Language Center at the Faculty of Arts organized a ceremony honoring Dr. Hassan Abdel Shafik, the former director of the center, in recognition of his outstanding efforts and effective contributions to the development of performance at the center and enhancing the quality of educational services provided to students, under the supervision of Dr. Mahmoud Abdel Alim, vice president of the University for community service and environmental development, and Dr. Abeer Mohammed Raafat, supervisor of the center.
The ceremony was attended by Dr. Mohammed Abu Rahab, vice dean of the College of Arts for education and Student Affairs, Dr. Sameh al-Banna, vice dean for graduate studies and research, Dr. Ahmed al-Mukhtar, former vice dean of the college and former director of the center, as well as a number of department heads, faculty members and staff of the college.
Dr. Ahmed El-Minshawy praised the vital role played by the English Language Center in the development of language skills, not only for university students but also for the external community, through the specialized educational services it provides, stressing that honoring distinguished models of faculty members and the administrative apparatus reflects the University's keenness to appreciate academic and administrative giving, and encourage a culture of institutional work that contributes to raising the efficiency of performance inside and outside the University.
Dr. Mahmoud Abdel Alim expressed his pride in participating in this honor, praising Dr. Hassan Abdel Shafik's advanced educational vision and administrative efficiency, which positively influenced the performance of the center and student satisfaction with its services, stressing that the university pays great attention to honoring the distinguished and stimulating creative energies within its various units.
For his part, Dr. Hassan Abdul Shafiq expressed his gratitude for this honor, stressing that the successes achieved were the fruit of teamwork and fruitful cooperation between the college administration and the center, thanking the university administration for its continuous support and creating an educational environment stimulating creativity and excellence.
