Dr. Ahmed El-Minshawy praised the launch of The" Mawada " digital platform at Egyptian universities, with the aim of promoting the values of family bonding among young people who are about to get married, in accordance with the decision of the Supreme Council of universities issued on May 27, 2024, within the framework of cooperation between the Ministry of higher education and scientific research and the Ministry of social solidarity.
Dr. El-Minshawy explained that the platform comes within the framework of an initiative to qualify young men and girls who are going to get married, within the program of the Ministry of social solidarity "Mawada", where it provides scientific content through websites at university colleges on an experimental basis for students enrolled in it, in preparation for the adoption of its training course as a mandatory graduation requirement.
He added that the initiative aims to strengthen the unity of the Egyptian family and reduce the divorce rates, which have increased significantly in recent years, and also aims to provide those who are getting married with adequate psychological and social rehabilitation to form a stable family and resolve any possible disputes. The initiative also supports family dispute resolution offices to reduce divorce cases, in addition to reviewing legislation that supports the family and protects the rights of spouses and children.
In this context, Dr. Ahmed Abdul Mawla, vice president of the University for education and Student Affairs, met with the officials of the pages of various colleges within the University, in the presence of Mr. Ahmed Abbas, coordinator of The "Mawada" program at the Ministry of social solidarity, and Dr. Wajdi Refaat, former dean of the Faculty of specific education and Technical Coordinator of The "Mawada" program at Assiut University, to introduce The "Mawada" digital platform for distance education, and to identify and publish its links at the university level.

He explained that at the end of the training course, the trainee receives a digital certificate that is sent to his e-mail after passing the training program.
Dr. Wajdi Refaat pointed out that The "Mawada" program was launched by the president of the Republic in 2019, and about 5.2 million Egyptian citizens have benefited from it, and 1,900 trainings have been implemented to serve 150 thousand students at the level of 27 public universities during the academic year 2023/2024.
